Wenn die Erinnerungen trügen und geliebte Verwandte seit Generationen in die ganze Welt zerstreut leben?  In ihrem gefeierten autofiktiven Roman geht die große italienische Erzählerin Igiaba Scego auf Spurensuche zwischen Mogadischu und Rom. Sie erzählt von verloren geglaubten Müttern und wiedergefundenen Brüdern, von einer Kindheit im Busch und der Schule in Rom-Nord, von Verletzungen der Kolonialgeschichte, die sich über die Generationen tragen – und von der großen Hoffnung, die im Erzählen liegt. Igiaba Scego wurde 1974 in Rom geboren und stammt aus einer somalischen Familie. Die Literatur und das Lesen bezeichnet sie selbst als ihren Rettungsanker: »In Büchern habe ich meine Geschichte, mich selbst und vor allem Afrika gefunden.« Beherrschendes Thema ihres Werks sind die Problematiken der Migration und der Multikulturalität. Scego studierte Literatur und Pädagogik, heute schreibt die Autorin mehrerer Romane und Erzählungen auch für Zeitungen und Zeitschriften wie »L’Unità« und »Internazionale« und ist Herausgeberin mehrerer Anthologien. »Kassandra in Mogadischu« war 2023 für den Literaturpreis Premio Strega nominiert. What a fascinating place. An absolute favourite. Beware though that the place gets crowded all the time. Might need like an hour or two to get in. As for the activity, you could easily spend the whole day if you take your time and go through details. But it&#39;s a pity, the place gets lot of visitors. Also there is a restaurant inside with affordable meals.

It is not far from the town square to here. The surrounding area is a very beautiful area with ancient and beautiful houses. There are many beautiful restaurants and unique cafes hidden in the houses. It is a very relaxing place.

Views are pretty awesome, and a stunning piece of architecture to say the least.. You can walk all the way around the observation plaza, so 360 degree views across the Hafencity, Port and beyond! It&#39;s free entry up to the first plaza, it has toilets, shop and a restaurant, so some great facilities if your unsure if it&#39;s worth the trip. A great little place to take some pictures if your on a budget, want to kill some time or just love ships and dockland. You might also be able to catch an orchestral view 😉. Recommended.
