Experience the transformative power of group play in Leela's signature level I class, Improv 1: Let's Play! This six-week course, exclusively for adults (18+), is designed to tap into your pure spontaneity, creativity, and collaboration. Drawing from Viola Spolin's theater games, mindfulness, dance/movement, sound/music, and child's play, you will learn a wide range of techniques that will enhance your ability to trust and act on impulse, embrace the unknown, and develop problem-solving skills. Whether you're shy or outgoing, this class welcomes everyone. Plus, you can repeat this class as often as you like to get your weekly dose of play. The class will be held on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM, starting on October 11, 2023. It will take place at STUDIO B, Leela Training Center, located at 901 Mission Street, SF. Conveniently situated just one block from the Powell MUNI/BART station, this venue offers easy access for participants. To join the class, please meet inside the lobby of the SF Chronicle Building at the 901 Mission entrance by 6:55 PM. A Leela representative will be there to greet you and guide you to the classroom.
