Improv 200 builds upon the foundation established in Improv 100 by utilizing skills such as "Yes, and..." and scene building techniques. Through this course, participants will have the opportunity to delve into more complex scenes, allowing their improv skills to flourish and enhancing their ability to tell spontaneous stories. In addition, the class will incorporate a variety of games commonly seen in Theatresports(TM) matches, offering insights into the underlying concepts that go beyond mere entertainment value. By exploring these concepts, participants will learn to emotionally invest in their performances, improve their narrative skills, and create compelling imaginary circumstances for their characters. The course consists of 8 Wednesday classes and will take place at 650 S Orcas Suite 101 in Seattle on January 10, 2024. It is crucial to attend the first session, which sets the agenda for the entire quarter. Prerequisite for joining is completion of Improv 100 or approval by the Education Director. The maximum number of students is limited to 14, and the cost of the course is $275. Please note that if you need to cancel your registration, credit towards a future class will be offered only if cancellation occurs before the first class. Refunds are not available.
