Join the Lancaster Improv Players for an exciting and advanced improv class, Improv 201 with Shannon Maguire! This 8-week course will take your skills to the next level with a focus on long-form improv techniques. Participants will learn essential skills such as game of a scene, second beats, heightening, and advanced character work. This class goes beyond the basics and encourages improvisers to think beyond the scene they are in, providing them with a ton of scene work skills. 

The class will be held on Sundays from 1pm-3:30pm, starting on January 7th and running until March 3rd. Please note that there will be no class on February 11th due to the Super Bowl. The class will culminate in a graduation show on Saturday, March 8th at 5pm, where students can showcase the skills they have learned to their friends and family.

To enroll in Improv 201, you must have completed Improv 101 or have director approval. The class fee is $200 and refunds will not be issued after the start of the first session. The class will be taught by Shannon Maguire, an experienced performer and coach with 9 years of experience in improv.

The venue for the class is the Lancaster Improv Players located at 16 South Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Street parking is available on South Prince St, and if needed, there are nearby parking garages recommended in the order of Steinman Garage, Prince St Garage, and Duke St Garage.
