Join Olivia Fredricks at the Soapbox Community Printshop in Philadelphia for a one-day workshop on February 24th, where you can learn the art of making animated flipbooks using the Risograph. This hands-on session will teach you analog animation techniques to create unique hand-drawn imagery for risograph-printed flipbooks. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have their own spiral- or coil-bound flipbook to take home.

Olivia Fredricks, a highly skilled instructor with an MFA in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art and Architecture, will guide you through the process. She has a strong passion for using the printed mark in installations, books, zines, and ephemeral objects. Her work has been exhibited in various group shows across the country.

During the workshop, you will not only receive an introduction to the riso and learn quick and dirty analog animation techniques but also gain hands-on experience in spiral bookbinding. The cost for this workshop is $68 for current members of the Soapbox and $75 for non-members. Additionally, there is a $10 materials fee which covers masters, ink, paper, and maintenance of equipment.

Please note that masking is now encouraged but optional in the studio space. If you feel uncomfortable working without a mask, you are welcome to request mask-wearing while using the studio space. I feel that the attractions in downtown Philadelphia are really excellent. This monument near the Freedom Bell is unified and managed by National Park. I visited on a Friday evening after work because museum admission is free Friday evenings (pay what you wish). I did pay for parking at their garage, which was only $5.

Needless to say, the reputation of the Freedom Bell naturally feels like the Independence Palace can become a must-check place for Philadelphia attractions, as if every time you come to Philadelphia, you will also check in ritually. The two are also very close. Walking across the road is that the exhibition hall is open to the public for free. There is no need to buy tickets. The Independence Palace needs to book on the official website in advance. The ticket reservation fee of 1 yuan. The Free Bell has a separate exhibition hall, and the entrance needs to be checked.
