The Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC) in Portland presents "Intro to Screenprinting," an event offering a comprehensive introduction to the art of screen printing. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about silkscreen printing, including creating stencils, preparing and processing screens, and gaining valuable knowledge about tools, tips, and tricks for the photo emulsion process.

This workshop will also cover best practices for setting up a print station, printing and registration, and provide hands-on practice with the medium. The studio area exclusively uses water-based silkscreen inks and maintains a primarily non-toxic environment.

Participants are encouraged to bring their artwork files for printing, which should be flat, black and white images without grayscale, letter or tabloid size. Additionally, all attendees will receive a full orientation of the screen printing studio, along with a complimentary 1 Month Studio Membership.

Sliding scale prices are recommended based on membership levels, allowing individuals to select a level that is comfortable and within their means.
