The Center for the Theater of the Oppressed (CTO), in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin, is hosting an Introductory Workshop on October 22, 2023. This workshop is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive introduction to the games and exercises used in the Theater of the Oppressed and Teatro de las Oprimidas. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in a discussion about the development of this methodology in Brazil and around the world. The workshop is open to artists, activists, educators, and individuals interested in promoting social change. Conducted in English, this event promises to be a valuable experience for anyone looking to instigate positive transformation within their communities. 

In addition to the workshop, the Center for the Theater of the Oppressed is organizing the Theater of the Oppressed Symposium, which will take place in Austin, Texas, from October 21 to 29. This symposium will feature various activities such as workshops, stage productions, artistic performances, and panel discussions. Moreover, attendees will have the opportunity to attend the launch of the book Teatro de Las Oprimidas in English, written by the creator of this methodology, Bárbara Santos. Discussions at the symposium will focus on the intersection of art and activism in Brazil, providing a unique perspective on these topics. 

The Center for the Theater of the Oppressed is dedicated to researching and promoting the Theater of the Oppressed methodology. With a focus on democratizing cultural production and fostering intellectual growth, the Center aims to empower marginalized communities and encourage dialogue and aesthetic expression as a means of transforming society. By participating in workshops and seminars, individuals can actively contribute to this ongoing process of development and create positive change in their own communities.

As a regular tourist thought the process of entering the Parliament House was very cumbersome, but I didn&#39;t expect to check the bag I took with me to visit. Built in 1885, the building covers 51 acres and was designed by architects modeled on the Capitol in Washington, DC, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1986. Amazing the passing of the world does not affect its appearance and internal structure, as always brand new, visitors can visit the government office, have time to visit around the building outside, from all angles to enjoy the century-old building.
