“I work at the edges where art and psychoanalysis meet.” — Jane McAdam Freud An Absent Presence at Gazelli Art House is the first exhibition of Jane McAdam Freud’s work since her passing in 2022, bringing together deeply personal sculptures that explore life, death, and legacy, alongside works by Holly Stevenson and Louise Bourgeois. The show reflects on psychoanalysis, memory, and emotional inheritance through materials ranging from medals and chicken wire to ceramics and wool, with Stevenson responding directly to Jane’s legacy and their shared Freudian lineage. Across three generations of artists, the exhibition meditates on how objects can hold psychological weight and serve as vessels for presence, absence, and transformation.

It was a lovely trip. There is a good walk to the end of the cliff if you are coming by train. At places, the walk is naturally steep because it&#39;s a hill, so I won&#39;t prefer going on the hottest days. The best time I would say would be March-April or August.

The bunker at Dover Castle is the command post of Dunkirk&#39;s Great Retreat and the accompanying hospital. The view from the castle is excellent, you can see the sea, the city, the castle green space, there are not so many people, at least there is a lack of commercial facilities.
