Join the Jewelry Soldering Basics class at NW Rockhounds in Seattle and learn the fundamental techniques of soldering metals. Led by instructor Christina Bengtson, this introductory level torch soldering class will teach you about essential equipment, safety precautions, and the necessary materials for soldering sterling silver, copper, and brass. Gain knowledge about various solder types and temperatures, as well as metal properties and applications for multi-operation soldering. Discover the tools and materials needed to set up your own soldering station at home. This class is perfect for beginners in jewelry making or individuals looking to refresh their skills. During the class, you will have the opportunity to create either earrings or a pendant. Please note that a kit fee of $15 is payable to the teacher on the day of the class. All other tools will be provided for use. Masks are optional. Don't forget to check your email a few days prior to the event for further instructions. Limited to six students, so secure your spot now for this exciting class on January 20, 2024. Cancellations made seven days or more in advance of the event date will receive a refund.
