Join us for the highly anticipated launch of The Journal of Art & Ecology 2023, showcasing the innovative and thought-provoking work of the graduating cohort from the MA Art & Ecology program at Goldsmiths, University of London. This event will take place at the prestigious George Wood Theatre, located at Goldsmiths, University of London in London on December 8, 2023. 

The Journal of Art & Ecology is a unique platform that provides an online space for emerging artists to present their creative practice and critical reflections on artistic research. This edition of the journal features a diverse range of topics, including urban ecological care, decolonial botany and natural history, sensory and embodied knowledge, neuroqueering ecology, more-than-human agency, representation and infrastructures, and artistic tactics drawing on ecofeminism, Daoism, mycology, and more.

The launch event will include a response by the esteemed Dr. Giovanni Aloi, an expert in the representation of nature and the environment in art. Additionally, there will be a captivating performance by Elizabeth Salazar with Las Witchas Collective, a multidisciplinary Latinx female collective that seeks to create, empower, and inspire.

This event is open to the public, and admission is free. We kindly ask that you register in advance to ensure we can manage capacity and provide any necessary updates. For those unable to attend in person, the launch will be livestreamed for virtual participation.

Please note that photographs will be taken during the event for documentation and promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform one of the organizers upon arrival.

🏰 Westminster Abbey, it&#39;s really shocking! 📍 It&#39;s located in central London, close to the Parliament Building and Big Ben. The church is a prominent representation of British Gothic architecture, towering spires, exquisite carvings and beautifully painted glass windows, each detail shows an unparalleled artistic charm. Walking into the church, as if through time and space, is the holy place of the crowning of the British royal family, witnessing countless important moments in history. It is also a resting place for many celebrities, and great figures such as Newton, Darwin, Dickens have slept here, making people respect their contributions. Walking around, you can feel the solemnity of religion and the deep historical and cultural heritage. The church&#39;s Henry VII chapel is exquisite, with a fan-shaped arched roof and densely carved decorations, like a fairy tale fairyland. Whether it is an architecture lover or a historical and cultural fan, Westminster Abbey is definitely worth a visit. I believe you will be deeply impressed by its charm like me. 💕 highly recommend it to everyone! 💕

Windsor Castle

The Queen&#39;s favorite palace is very luxurious inside, but you are not allowed to take photos, you can only take photos outside. When I entered, I took a photo but was stopped by the staff. Knowing the daily life of the royal family, Windsor Castle is generally very quiet.
