Toledo is an ancient city of Spain, 70 kilometers south of Madrid. The city has a long history and was once the capital of Spain. The architecture combines Gothic, Moorish, Baroque and other styles. His successor, Philip II, moved to Madrid, and the castle lost its original status as a prison, barracks, workshops and army academy. During the Spanish Civil War, the castle was severely damaged in the war. After the war, Franco ordered the castle to be rebuilt and preserved as it was. The cloisters and church are full of beautiful details, well worth a look. Wonderful old monastery. Although it is a bit far from the center of Toledo, it is worth visiting. The ticket was quite reasonable, only 3 euro per adult.
