The City of Lincoln has been hosting the Lincoln Marathon since 1978. Organized by the Lincoln Track Club, the marathon weekend has grown to include thousands of runners, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators, making it one of the premier events in the Capitol City. The volunteers on the marathon committee have volunteered hundreds of hours to ensure that this event is one of the best in the nation. We hope that you will experience the Lincoln Marathon weekend as a runner, volunteer, or spectator. The Lincoln Track Club was founded in 1975 by a group of dedicated track and field enthusiasts. Although we have track and field in our name, we have become a distance running oriented club. At its core, our club is a non-profit community service organization that was established to promote the sport of distance running throughout the region and to provide educational assistance to distance running enthusiasts. The Lincoln Track Club focuses not only on distance running, but also on volunteering and giving back to the community.
The Lincoln National Guard Full Marathon has been selected as the RRCA - Marathon State Championship. Both courses are nationally certified and meet the standards adopted by the USA Track and Field/USA Road Running Certification Committee.
