Marie's artistic journey began at the renowned Glasgow School of Art, where she honed her skills in life drawing. She further expanded her knowledge at Glasgow College of Building and Printing during the 90s.

Marie's artistic achievements include exhibitions at the University of Glasgow and West of Scotland University, where her work captivated audiences. She also shares her expertise with adults through teaching sessions on drawing and Chinese painting techniques. Marie's commitment to nurturing artistic talent extends to children as well, as she conducted engaging art workshops at the Auld Kirk Museum and Art Gallery in Kirkintilloch. Additionally, Marie proudly hosted a successful solo exhibition of her paintings and drawings.

In 2012, Marie received the prestigious Bet Low Trust Fund award, which led to the opportunity to showcase her remarkable drawings and paintings at The Hill House in Helensburgh for a four-month period.
