Metal Fundamental - The Jewelers Saw is an upcoming class that aims to introduce students to an array of exciting and innovative skills and tools for cutting custom shapes from metal sheet. Led by experienced instructor Christina Bengtson, this class will take place on Friday, February 9th, from 11:30am to 2:30pm at NW Rockhounds in Seattle.

During the class, participants will gain a solid foundation in using the jeweler's saw, jeweler's files, and various cutting/piercing tools. They will learn how to create jump rings of any size and gauge, as well as master the art of precision filing and piercing. The class will also cover techniques for working with sterling silver, etched copper, or brass to create beautiful pendants, earrings, or finished design elements.

No previous experience is required to join this fundamentals class, making it accessible to individuals of all skill levels. However, please note that there is a $10 kit fee, payable in cash or check to the teacher on the day of the class. All other necessary tools will be provided for use.

Please be aware that the class has a limited capacity of 6 students, so early registration is advised. Additionally, masks are optional in the classroom. Further instructions will be sent via email a few days before the class, so please ensure to check your inbox.

You can walk to the Seattle 520 Bridge from Bellevue, as shown in Figure 1. There is also a beautiful park and parking lot here. If you like to walk across the bridge, you can reach Seattle. If you like to take the bus, you can also do so. The bus station is just below the parking lot. There are many buses and the waiting time is not long. It is very convenient.

Bill Gates&rsquo; father, a well-known lawyer, once taught at its law school. Bruce Lee also studied here, and it was where he met his wife.

Later, I visited UW&rsquo;s Suzzallo Library&mdash;often referred to as the real-life &ldquo;Harry Potter Library.&rdquo; It grandeur rivals that of the Boston Public Library. The UW School of Medicine also ranks extremely high, consistently alongside Harvard and Stanford. Its programs in clinical medicine and public health are also highly ranked.
