Join the excitement at the Mixed Media Mischief Retreat, a captivating event in South Haven where art enthusiasts will immerse themselves in the world of art journaling. Participants will have the chance to design and construct their own art journals, starting with crafting distinctive covers. With clever mark-making techniques, the blank pages will come to life, and a variety of mixed-media methods will be explored to create stunning artwork on every page. The retreat also includes an easy decorative bookbinding session to bind everything together. By the end of the weekend, attendees will leave with a one-of-a-kind handmade art journal and an arsenal of mischief tricks for future artistic endeavors.
The retreat schedule includes two full days of mischief-making workshops on Friday and Saturday, October 20th and 21st, from 9 AM to 4 PM, with light breakfasts and lunches provided. On Sunday, October 22nd, there will be a shorter session from 10 AM to 1 PM. In addition, attendees can look forward to an Art-Happy Hour on Friday evening from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, featuring delightful cocktails and charcuterie.
Most art supplies and mischief-making tools will be provided, and a specific supply list will be sent after registration. Please note that the workshop space requires the ability to navigate stairs. Travel, lodging, and meals other than those mentioned are not included.
