A Gala Evening of music, wine, beer and menu sampling, to celebrate the launch of the 2025 season at North Star, Louisbourg, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Colin+Justin look forward to introducing your entertainment for the soiree: Cape Breton musical royalty ‘High Society’ and ‘The Privateers’.
Each guest will also be assigned a complimentary ticket for the famous Cape Smokey gondola – value $50.
The evening ahead
6.00pm - Doors to ‘The Bothy’ open, with a bagpiper to welcome guests upon arrival. A glass of fizz starts the party…
Wine service follows, with delicious menu samplings curated by the North Star* team, all the time serenaded by talented fiddlers.
6.30pm – Address by Colin+Justin, followed by ‘Heads and Tails’ (a Scottish tradition at North Star’s annual shindig) to win a swag bag that includes “Brunch and Bubbles” for two at North Star*, a signed copy of Escapology (C+J’s latest book) candles, chocolates and other ‘Colin and Justin Home’ goodies from Homesense.
7.15pm – High Society perform a forty-five-minute set.
8.15pm – The Privateers perform a one-hour set.
9.45pm – Ocean side fireworks display – but first: grab a cookie, and a warming hot chocolate, coffee or tea before heading out…
10.15pm – High Society and The Privateers join forces to perform a short closing set.

‘Colin and Justin’s Summer 2025 Gala is brought to you in association with our friends at Destination Cape Breton.
With grateful thanks to our event sponsors Cape Smokey.
Event price includes an arrival glass of fizz, three complimentary drink tickets (cash bar thereafter) redeemable for wine and beer (for those of legal age) or soft drinks, tastings from our summer 2025 menu and passes for the Cape Smokey gondola.
*Please note this is not a seated event, although seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.
*Those who consume alcohol must be of minimum legal age as stipulated by the province.
