Each week you will be exploring and experimenting with acrylic paint, this will include: composition, staining, and dragging paint, pattern and shape, simplifying and optical effects You will be encouraged to use a sketchbook at home and in your own time to record notes, sketches, colours and ideas in preparation for your classes. You will be learning about the work of contemporary painters to inspire and enrich your own explorations and discoveries. Claire will provide exercises, demonstrations, inspiration and subject matter for this course. Monday 28 April  Monday 5 May Monday 12 May Monday 19 May Monday 26 May Monday 2 June By the end of the 6 sessions you will have a sketchbook bursting with ideas, have made many experimental paintings and will feel more confident and knowledgable about contemporary portrait & figure painting.
