The traditional Paris Carnival returns on Sunday, March 2, 2025, for its 27th edition, and Parisians and tourists alike will come together to follow this eccentric tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages.
The Paris Carnival (Carnival de Paris - Promenade du Bœuf Gras) is usually held on the Sunday before Grey Tuesday. This year's theme, whether you are free to follow it or not, is "Love, Peace and Joy".
The meeting place is usually at Place Gambetta in the 20th arrondissement from 1pm. Departure time is 14:00, following the following route:
Depart towards Avenue Gambetta (turn right, towards Ménilmontant)
Place Auguste-Métiville
Avenue Ménilmontant
Avenue Belleville
Rue du Faubourg-du-Temple (left)
Place de la République
Expected arrival time is approximately 18:00. 
Dinner at Place de la République until 8pm.

This place was almost 300x the size I expected! would take you days to walk around this place so i recommend getting the train as we decided it was a nice day to walk, I can&rsquo;t tell you how much my legs hurt after 😝 but it was a truly beautiful and picturesque place to be.
