Join Alice Frecknall and Caroline Druitt at the Places & Portals event, a poetry workshop that celebrates the everyday stories of Deptford. This creatively challenging workshop will guide participants through a series of exercises designed to generate new writing inspired by the objects, images, and sounds of Deptford and its community. Drawing from a walk through Deptford Market and the local surroundings, writers of all levels will have the opportunity to collage people and place, fact and fiction, and the personal and the political. 

Alice Frecknall is an accomplished poet and short fiction writer, with her debut poetry collection, "Somewhere Something is Burning," being published by Out-Spoken Press in 2021. Caroline Druitt is a poet and creative living in South East London, who has been recognized for her outstanding poetry and has been commissioned by Apples and Snakes.

The event will take place at The Albany - Red Room in London on March 16, 2024. Admission is free, but space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot. The Places & Portals workshop is wheelchair accessible, with accessible toilets available. BSL interpretation will be provided for all events, including this one. After watching the Buckingham Palace changing ceremony, we arrived at Westminster Abbey. There were a lot of people in the queue, about an hour and a half before entering the church. There is a interpreter at the door, you can choose Chinese. Follow the team and the interpreter is also explained. My favorite is the Matisse-style painting window. The staff in the church is very high quality and the temperament is very good, which is awe-inspiring.

I thought it was a special ride on the Ferris wheel, but the London Eye made me hit the face! When the capsule reached the highest point, I suddenly understood why the British love to chat. The Thames, Big Ben and the debris building look like they are shining in the sun, and it is really different every day. After landing, I found that the photos were all taken as glass reflections. Forget it, leave some regrets to be true.

The Queen&#39;s favorite palace is very luxurious inside, but you are not allowed to take photos, you can only take photos outside. When I entered, I took a photo but was stopped by the staff. Knowing the daily life of the royal family, Windsor Castle is generally very quiet.
