The Ruck If You Buck Challenge is an exciting physical event taking place in Huntsville at the beautiful Monte Sano State Park on October 14, 2023. This premier challenge offers participants the opportunity to test their physical and mental strength while enjoying the scenic views and Southern charm of North Alabama.

Participants will have the chance to forge bonds with friends as they traverse Monte Sano Mountain in the foothills of the Appalachians. Clear your mind and experience the breathtaking mountainous air while pushing past your limits. This challenge is the perfect way to show yourself what you're truly capable of.

There are three race distances to choose from, catering to participants of all fitness levels. The 5K is a great starting point for those looking to have a good time while pushing themselves a bit. The moderately fit can take on the 10K, while the 20K offers a very difficult terrain for those seeking a greater challenge.

To participate, all individuals must carry a pack or vest weighing no less than the specified requirements based on body weight. Weighted vests are allowed, but combinations of vest and pack are not permitted. A scale will be available on-site for verification.

Registration fee for the event is $55 and includes a t-shirt, lunch, and snacks. Accommodations can be found at the Monte Sano Lodge, featuring rustic cabins with stunning mountain views. Additionally, the park offers improved campsites and a camp store for convenience.
