The Scottish National Badminton Championships 2024, the premier event on the domestic Scottish badminton calendar, is set to take place from February 2nd to February 4th at the National Badminton Academy in Glasgow. This highly-anticipated tournament will bring together the best players from all over the country to compete in five exciting events - men's and women's singles and doubles, as well as mixed doubles. 

The action-packed weekend will culminate in the crowning of the National Champions on the afternoon of Sunday, February 4th. To secure your spot and witness the thrilling matches firsthand, it is advised to book your tickets in advance. Concessions apply to those aged 16 and under, the unemployed, and individuals with a disability, making this event accessible to a wide range of badminton enthusiasts. 

The approximate times of play are as follows: on Friday, February 2nd, the qualifying rounds for men's singles and the main draw for mixed doubles will take place from 17:00 to 21:00hrs. On Saturday, February 3rd, the first and second rounds, as well as the quarter-finals, for both men's and women's singles and doubles will be held from 09:00 to 18:00hrs. Finally, on Sunday, February 4th, the semi-finals will take place from 10:00 to 12:30hrs, followed by all the thrilling finals from 14:00 to 17:30hrs.

To make the most of the ticket offers, it is important to order your tickets in advance as free and discounted tickets will not be available at the door, even for Badminton Scotland members. It is a dream castle. When I arrived, it was the April holiday, there were almost no people on the road, only the old buildings stood in the cold air, solemn and heavy, which was awe-inspiring.

We came here on a spontaneous visit one Sunday afternoon in January and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our wee boy loved seeing the &ldquo;old fashioned house&rdquo; and was so well looked after by all the staff, from the cash register to the flat and back out again.We went round twice (with a shift change between visits!) and the insight into one story of no doubt thousands like it in Glasgow was fantastic. Plus our boy thoroughly enjoyed colouring in his wallie dug. A hidden gem that is well worth the wander through Garnethill.

George Square is located in the heart of Glasgow, and it is very convenient to take a train or subway. You can sunbathe in the square on a good day. Near the famous store street, you can buy hand letters, clothes, shoes and socks. There are also many restaurants to choose from. George Square is a must-see attraction. In addition to admiring the architecture of the square; at different festivals, such as Christmas, the square will be transformed into a mobile playground full of dynamic and happy atmosphere.
