The Second Annual Gaines 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run is just around the corner! This highly anticipated event offers participants the choice between a 1 Mile Fun Run or a 5K route. Taking place at the picturesque Pine Hill Park in Gaines, Michigan, this event promises to be a memorable experience for all.

The Gaines 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run is more than just a fun event; it is also a fundraiser for the Gaines Elementary PTO. All proceeds from the run will go towards supporting the school and its programs. It's a great opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying a day of outdoor activity.

The theme for this year's run is "RUNNING WILD through Gaines," and participants are encouraged to embrace their wild side by dressing up in animal costumes. If costumes aren't your thing, don't worry! You can still show your support by wearing your Swartz Creek gear and coming dressed as a dragon.

The run will kick off at 10am with the 5K route. Runners will follow a scenic course that takes them through the charming Village of Gaines. The 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 10:30am and will take participants on a route around the perimeter of the village.

At the finish line, all runners will receive a medal, as well as a banana and water to replenish their energy. The organizers are also working on providing t-shirts for participants, pending sponsorships.

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult, who is also participating in the run. The safety of our participants is our top priority.

Come rain or shine, the Second Annual Gaines 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run promises to be a fantastic community-wide event. So mark your calendars for September 30, 2023, and join us for a day of fun, fitness, and fundraising. Thank you for your support!

To be honest, there aren&#39;t many things to do. Most people just concentrate on taking pictures at the &quot;big bottle&quot; area. The flower mound is bare and uninteresting in winter, but it should be nice in spring and summer. One more thing: the entrance fee is a bit pricey. 😅

It&#39;s a nice scenic spot. I recommend buying a one-way shuttle bus ticket. If you buy a round-trip ticket, you&#39;ll miss the giant hand and the pagoda. After seeing the Maitreya Buddha, you have to walk down the mountain. According to Gaode Map, there are 1999 steps. If you climb up and down, you&#39;ll definitely be exhausted.

The spa is spacious, with the outdoor hot springs shaded by trees and filled with squirrels.
I loved the fish spa pool, where tiny fish kept chasing after food at my feet.
The spa is located across the garden, with a large pool on the first floor. There&#39;s a lounge on the second floor, and a buffet on the third (for an additional fee).

Taiping Lake Forest Town is absolutely stunning, like stepping into a fairytale. My favorite spots are &quot;In the Clouds,&quot; &quot;Zixia Lake,&quot; and Monet&#39;s Garden&mdash;every photo is a true masterpiece. Taiping Lake was a truly worthwhile trip to Mile! You can rent electric carts within the scenic area, which is incredibly convenient! The restrooms are also incredibly clean, and the brown sugar ginger tea is incredibly thoughtful and warm!

Keyi Town is the birthplace of the Yi ethnic group&#39;s Axi Jumping Moon Dance.

1. Fairy Tree Secret Realm: A primeval forest with natural landscapes such as acacia trees and a snake-like path; murals along the way tell ancient Yi legends.
2. Tiger Roaring in the Forest: A 18.2-meter-high stone tiger sculpture stands atop the mountain, its base carved with tiger totem patterns, representing the Yi people&#39;s worship of nature.
3. Axi Jumping Moon Square: Axi Jumping Moon Dance is performed at fixed times.
