ShAFF Film Club is an opportunity to watch amazing adventure films and socialise with other adventure film lovers over a beer. Regather CoOperative is a hidden gem, tucked away behind London Road, it has a cute bar serving its own brewed beer, and a cosy 40-seater cinema space. ShAFF has a long history of vibrant film nights here and will be using the space as a venue for showing some of the amazing films which didn't make the busy festival programme in March, but quite definitely deserve an airing. Champions Of The Golden Valley 81 mins In the remote mountain villages of Bamyan, Afghanistan, a newfound passion for skiing attracts young athletes from rival ethnic groups to the slopes. With minimal gear and makeshift wooden skis, the determined ski coach Alishah Farhang organizes a thrilling ski race that fosters camaraderie, joy, and triumph. However, after the shocking collapse of their country, many of the skiers are displaced across the globe as refugees, and must call upon the lessons learned in the mountains of their homeland. In  Champions of the Golden Valley,  filmmaker Ben Sturgulewski masterfully captures the thrill of a sports rivalry intertwined with the poignant narrative of a community grappling with profound change – revealing what it means to be a champion, in all its forms.

Every year when snooker is played, the BBC will do a live show here. There is a table next to it, with two balls in each pocket. You are given a few shots to clear the table. If you clear the table, you will have the opportunity to compete with a famous snooker player.
