Join the beginner clay workshop at Bethel Rd Distillery in Templeton for a unique experience in creating a Ceramic Speckled Bud Vase. Led by the talented ceramic artist Adriana Lemus from Night Owl Pottery, this workshop will teach you the fundamentals of working with clay using the coiling method. You will also learn sculpting and texturing techniques to decorate your vase. The $80 fee includes all the necessary materials and tools, as well as glaze and firing services. Plus, you'll get a glass of wine or spirits tasting to enjoy during the workshop. After creating your masterpiece, the vase will be taken back to Adriana's studio in San Luis Obispo for firing, glazing, and firing again, a process that takes approximately 4-6 weeks. Once completed, the finished vases will be brought back to the venue for pick-up. Adriana Lemus, a local artist with 16 years of experience, creates ceramic vessels that aim to connect with the soul. She offers private throwing lessons, sells her work at Makers Markets and online, and is currently working on commission projects for various establishments. Bethel Rd Distillery and Winery, known for their artisan spirits and wines, provide a welcoming and creative environment for this workshop. Cheese and charcuterie plates are available for purchase to complement your experience. Please note that seating is limited, and there is a 24-hour cancellation policy.
