Join the Summer Series: Comic book Illustration (8-12 years) with renowned comic book creator Sorab Kaikobad at the Manningham Art Studios in Doncaster. This class offers a unique opportunity for young artists to learn the techniques and creative approaches used by Sorab to bring characters to life in the Comic Anime style. The focus of the course goes beyond just design, delving into the importance of storytelling and character personality.

No need to worry about specific materials, as Sorab emphasizes that creativity can flourish with whatever tools you have. However, it is recommended to bring a sketchbook (A3 or 11"x14"), an HB or 2B graphite pencil, an eraser, a sharpener, and fine liners in varying sizes. The class will take place on Thursday, 18 January from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Bookings are essential as spots are limited, with a minimum of 6 students per class. In case of cancellations, we will make every effort to accommodate you in another class or refund your payment. At Manningham Council, we strive to create an inclusive and safe environment for everyone, regardless of cultural background, sexuality, gender expression, or disability.

Parents are required to attend the first 10 minutes of the first session for important enrolment information. For children under 13, parents must sign them in and out of each session for safety purposes. Late collection of children will incur a late fee of $15 per 15 minutes.

Parking is available at the Manningham Council MC2 building, accessible through the Doncaster library entrance or the MC2 underground car park. COVID Safe practices are in place, and if you are feeling unwell, we kindly request that you stay home and get tested for COVID-19.
