Experience the magic of the Summer Solstice Yoga at Sunset Beach!
Join Andrea L. Wehlann of Ganga Moon Yoga, St. Catharines' pioneering yoga instructor (since 2012), for a truly unforgettable evening. This beloved annual event, a gift to the community, has grown from humble beginnings to a vibrant celebration of movement, music, and nature. Hundreds now gather each year on the aptly named Sunset Beach to welcome the longest day with open hearts and joyful spirits.
As the sun begins its descent over Lake Ontario, settle onto your mat and allow Andrea to guide you through a gentle, accessible yoga flow, designed for every body. Imagine emerging from your final relaxation to the soothing sounds of waves, the rhythm of your own heartbeat, and the building crescendo of drums. Feel the energy rise as the sun dips below the horizon, igniting a spontaneous celebration of drumming and dance. This is more than just a yoga class; it's a unique and soul-stirring experience you won't want to miss.
This special event takes place on the Summer Solstice, June 20th, 2025 at 7:30 pm. In the event of rain, the celebration will move to the following day at the same time and location.
While this community offering is by donation, a $20 contribution is greatly appreciated to support its continuation. You can donate in advance via e-transfer to gangamoonyoga@gmail.com (password "Sunset") or through Eventbrite. A donation box for cash will also be available at the Ganga Moon Yoga table on the beach.
No one turned away for lack of funds (message for assistance).
