The SwissCityMarathon – Lucerne is THEmarathon in Switzerland and always takes place on the last Sunday in October.
From the start, the course leads along the traditional luxury hotels of the city and passes beside the Hofkirche. With a great view of the Chapel Bridge and the water tower, you run in front of the Culture and Congress Centre Lucerne on the other side of the lake. The route continues around the Horw peninsula with a view of the imposing mountain panorama of Central Switzerland along Lake Lucerne. The route then leads through the modern football stadium, home of FC Lucerne, back to the city and through the heart of the KKL Lucerne, into the picturesque old town to the unique finish area in the Swiss Museum of Transport.

The dying lion is a famous monument in the Swiss city of Lucerne, a sculpture depicting a seriously wounded lion with a broken spear in the ribs and painfully strung to the ground. The lion&#39;s right paw is on a shield engraved with lilies from the French royal family, and the other shield has a Swiss cross. The sculpture is engraved with the Latin &quot;HELVETIORUM FIDEI AC VIRTUTI&quot; meaning &quot;to the loyal and brave Swiss&quot;. Below is a list of the officers killed and surviving, as well as the number of soldiers killed and surviving.

The Capel Covered Bridge is one of the landmarks of Lucerne, Switzerland and one of the oldest wooden bridges in the world. It is a wooden covered bridge, 204 meters long and about 2 meters wide. The bridge is in a folded line with a turning point in the middle, which connects the Lucerne Octagon Water Tower. The interior of the bridge is unique, with 110 triangular painted wooden boards hanging from the top depicting the history, myths and saints of Lucerne. These painted boards are works from the 17th and 18th centuries and have high artistic value.

Lake Lucerne is really nice. When the weather is good, you can see the snow-capped mountains. Unfortunately, we stayed there for three days, and the weather was good only when we arrived in the evening of the first day, so we didn&#39;t take advantage of it.

The buildings by the lake, the Ferris wheel, and the Flower Bridge Water Tower are simply too beautiful to take in. The boat ride to Weggis is even more beautiful.

Lucerne, one of the top 5 tourist cities in Switzerland, has sparkling waters on one side and lush mountains and rolling peaks on the other.
The city area north of Lake Lucerne and the Reuss River is called the Old Town of Lucerne, where you must slow down and stroll and take photos leisurely.
Stroll along the shore of Lake Lucerne, take photos on the Capel Bridge, climb the Musegg Wall to reminisce about the past, visit the St. Leodegar Church, and check in at the Lion Monument... everything is done on foot.

Great museum and most importantly very interactive. You can learn, admire, experience and watch so many things. If you want to learn everything and really like watching and reading a little, 3 hours is far from enough. We had about 4.5 hours and that wasn&#39;t enough.
