Learn the art of Teen Filmmaking at the Teen Filmmaking Class in Bee Cave. Led by renowned independent Filmmaker William F. Reed, this hands-on film class is a must-attend for all Teen Filmmaker enthusiasts. Hosted by The Bee Cave Arts Foundation in collaboration with The Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts, this class will teach students how to conceptualize, create, and produce a short film in just two afternoons.
The class will cover all the essentials of filmmaking, including basic equipment instruction, story ideation, scriptwriting, and preparation for the shoot day. Students will have the opportunity to put their skills into action during the hands-on film production, where they will be assigned cast and crew roles based on their interests and experience. The post-production phase will focus on editing and polishing the final film.
The class will take place on December 16th and 17th from 12 pm to 6 pm at The Hive by Bee Cave Arts Foundation. With limited spots available, interested students are encouraged to reserve their spot now. Students should bring a notebook, water bottle, snacks, and, if available, a laptop.
About William F. Reed:
With an impressive career in film and TV, William F. Reed has worked on notable projects such as Star Trek and The Academy Awards. He is the founder of Rude Boy Pictures, a boutique film production company that recently distributed its first feature film, The Good Hearts Club. In addition to teaching filmmaking at The Austin School of Film and The Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts, he also shares his passion for 16mm film through his organization, Reel Preservation Society.

The cave itself is only average compared to those in China, but there are still many fireflies inside, making it quite spectacular and worth a visit. Photography is not allowed inside to protect the insects; however, you can take pictures at the entrance and when disembarking.
