The Yorkshire Marathon has quickly established itself as one of the highlights of the White Rose County’s sporting year. This popular and picturesque run, with fantastic PB potential, takes participants past some of York’s splendid historic sites and along scenic country lanes, making it an attractive prospect for runners of all abilities.Described by the Daily Mirror as the ‘Number 1 Alternative to London’, the Guardian also rated it as a perfect run to ‘nail your PB!’.This much-anticipated run through the heart of York will be the biggest marathon in the whole of the White Rose County. Our aim in establishing this new event was to bring a mass participation marathon closer to home for the thousands of Northern runners eager to push themselves to the ultimate limit. But, with an exceptionally flat and fast course, the marathon is certain to attract athletes from across the UK and beyond.

My first time visiting this tower ,all the staff was extremely friendly and helpful .We really enjoyed visiting this beautiful piece of history and we adore york. Was so happy to know it is english heritage so everytime we go somewhere we try and make use out of our membership.Was a wonderful structure been made for the stairs nice and strong. We enjoyed the roof top being able to have a clear 360 view was magnificent well worth all the climbing up both stairs .
