June 27, 2025, NAME (The National Association for Multicultural Education) Region 1 (including members from New England, New York, New Jersey, and Puerto Rico) will be hosting a conference at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA. Our conference theme is 
Transformative Equity: Action Over Optics. 
Friday morning's focus will be to educate and illuminate regarding Transformative Equity. Over lunch, we will hear from a practioner panel about the forward motion they are generating toward increased equity despite these unprecedented times of obstacles and challenges. Friday afternoon will feature a hands-on, minds-on General Session in which attendees will be led through the process of creating action plans for their respective sectors and organizations. Emphasis throughout will be to share what has worked and what is working as all organizations who are engaged in this important work are pivoting during these unprecedented times.
Rondileau Student Union at Bridgewater State University will be the primary location for our conference. It is #10 on the
