The ride starts at Trek Bicycle Research located at 10947 Research Boulevard, Austin, TX 78759. The route covers various picturesque locations including the Arboretum, Mesa Dr., Balcones, Scenic Dr., Lake Austin Blvd., Exposition, Bull Creek, Shoal Creek, and Steck. With an average pace of 13 mph, the ride spans approximately 25 miles. This social ride is suitable for intermediate-level cyclists, although beginners are advised to skip due to the challenging elevation gain and mileage. The ride begins at 9:00 AM, following a safety briefing, and all participants must sign waivers before joining. Helmets are mandatory and hydration is crucial, so make sure to bring a water bottle or Camelback. Please refrain from using earbuds or headphones during the ride. A flat repair kit is recommended, as well as carrying identification and cash for any post-ride needs at the shop. If you are under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must accompany you on the ride. As an ordinary tourist, I thought the procedure to enter the Capitol Building was very complicated, but I didn&#39;t expect that I could enter and visit just by checking the bags I brought with me.
This building was built in 1885 and covers an area of ​​51 acres. It was designed by architect Elijah E Myer in imitation of the Capitol Building in Washington. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and was named a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
It is amazing that the passage of time has not affected its appearance and internal structure at all. It is as new as ever. Visitors can visit the government offices and have time to visit the exterior of the building to appreciate this century-old building from all angles.
