Universal Studios Japan's ever popular "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™" area will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year since its grand opening on July 15, 2014. This year, we are bringing you a special year that will rewrite your magical history with a number of magical experiences befitting an anniversary year.

Ten years have passed since the magical world of our dreams became a reality in Japan, and a series of magical experiences befitting the anniversary year will be launched. In the summer, "Hogwarts™ Castle Walk " will return to explore the interior of Hogwarts™ castle. In the fall, "Death Eaters™ Takeover" will bring the Death Eaters to life before your very eyes, and in the winter, "Hogwarts™ Magical Night - Winter Magic" will bring the splendor of Hogwarts™ castle to life. These exciting and enchanting experiences will continue to add a new page to your magical history.

“Hogwarts™ Castle Walk" July 15, 2024 - December 31, 2024

“Hogwarts™ Castle Walk" will make its long-awaited return on July 15, offering visitors the opportunity to walk through the magnificent Hogwarts™ castle, recreated in breathtaking quality and in great detail along a special route. You can see the large statue of a Griffin guarding Headmaster Dumbledore's office, a series of talking portraits that stretch all the way up to the high ceilings, and even the statues that you cannot normally see. Enjoy an adventure that will rewrite the history of magic in a space that is just like the world of the movies.

"Death Eaters™ Takeover" this fall Scheduled for Autumn 2024

"On autumn nights, the path into Hogsmeade™ takes on darker tones, reminiscent of the Forbidden Forest. The Death Eaters™ have arrived, casting a threatening atmosphere over the wizarding village. Witness the thrilling scene of the villagers engaging in an epic battle with the Death Eaters™. As the Dark Mark appears over Hogwarts™ castle, bystanders will find themselves in the middle of the action."

“Hogwarts™ Magical Night ― Winter Magic" Scheduled for Winter 2024

Hogwarts™ Magical Night: Winter Magic" returns for the first time in 5 years, bringing beautiful magic to Hogwarts™ castle. The izarding world will be transformed with familiar spells, such as "Meteorojinx," which will dress the castle in snow, and "Lumos," which will envelop the castle in a warm glow. At the end, everyone chants "Lumos Maxima!” to light the tree at Hogwarts™ castle.

“Anniversary Mug” commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan!

One of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter's most popular items, Butterbeer, is now also available in two premium mugs to celebrate the 10th anniversary. In addition, a new plant-based Butterbeer is also available. Enjoy the experience of rewriting new magical history while sipping your Butterbeer.

Special churritos inspired by the House of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are back on sale!

The Special Churritos, which were sold for a limited time in 2020, are back on sale! The colorful churritos, inspired by the four Hogwarts houses - Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin - will be sold at the "Magic Neep Cart" food cart in the area (two types will be sold each day; the types sold will vary by day). Be sure to taste all!
