The Legacy of the Great Kingdom: A Special Exhibition of the Gingerbread Man Kingdom | Ground Seoul
If you're visiting Seoul and looking for a unique cultural and artistic experience, this exhibition is worth adding to your itinerary.
"CookieRun: Kingdom Art Collaboration: Legacy of the Great Kingdom" is a large-scale exhibition that blends Korean traditional cultural heritage with immersive media art. Inspired by the globally popular game CookieRun: Kingdom, which boasts over 300 million players, the exhibition perfectly combines game characters with traditional Korean craftsmanship. Here, you can see 10 original artworks created by Korean masters of national intangible cultural heritage, featuring exquisite mother-of-pearl lacquerware, traditional carving techniques, and other classic crafts. These works reinterpret CookieRun characters through contemporary artistic language, breathing new life into traditional culture. Located at Seoul's cultural landmark Ara Art Center in Insa-dong, the exhibition spans 12 immersive galleries covering approx. 2,800㎡. Through light, sound, and interactive installations, visitors will enter a magical world where art, storytelling, and digital media converge. Unlike traditional museum exhibitions, this experience brings Korean cultural heritage to life. Visitors can appreciate the charm of traditional Korean crafts through light interactions and immersive spaces, creating a unique fusion of art, technology, and culture. Situated in Insa-dong, Seoul's representative cultural district, the venue is within walking distance of popular attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwanghwamun Gate, and Bukchon Hanok Village, making it an ideal stop for cultural exploration in Seoul.
