Volunteer Sign Up for Winston-Salem Abilities Open 2024

Be part of the national Winston-Salem Abilities Open tennis tournament and help make it a resounding success! Abilities Tennis of NC, Taylor Tennis Center, and Winston-Salem Tennis, Inc. have come together to host this incredible annual tournament for players with intellectual disabilities, attracting participants from all over the country. The event will take place at the Taylor Tennis Center in Clemmons, NC, from April 26 to April 27.

To ensure the smooth running of the tournament, dedicated volunteers are needed. The organizers are specifically looking for 8 scorekeepers and 25 ball boys/girls for each session. Upon arrival, volunteers will receive a brief 10-15 minute overview of their responsibilities. This is a fulfilling way to spend your day, and your time and commitment will be highly appreciated.

Consider volunteering for the whole day by registering for a morning and afternoon time slot. This helps maintain continuity and ensures the tournament runs seamlessly. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

For those needing accommodation, special rates have been arranged at two host hotels. The Holiday Inn Express Winston-Salem SW Clemmons and Hampton Inn Hanes Mall offer comfortable accommodations at $109 and $115 per night respectively. The group cutoff date for booking is March 26, 2024.
