The Lecture Series at Westonbirt is pleased to announce the upcoming event 'A Tough Ride' with Polly Williamson. Polly Williamson, a former International Event Rider for Great Britain, will share her inspiring story of triumph over adversity. After suffering a serious head injury from a horse kick, Polly fought for her life and spent 11 days in a coma. She experienced post traumatic amnesia for two months and had to relearn basic skills such as talking and walking. Despite these challenges, Polly persevered and embraced her new normal. She has since completed a half-marathon and even published a book titled 'Where did I go?'. Polly, a renowned equestrian trainer, regularly gives talks where she shares her experiences with warmth and humor. This lecture is an opportunity to gain insight into Polly's journey and learn about the power of determination. The event will take place at Westonbirt School in Tetbury on February 2, 2024. Doors open at 6:30pm, and the lecture will begin at 7:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase, with prices ranging from £0 to £15. Join us for this inspiring evening at Westonbirt School.
