Join a creative writing workshop led by Holly Winter-Hughes at The Hive in Worcester, as part of the History in the Making project. This year-long program celebrates Worcestershire's rich heritage and the voices of underrepresented communities. The workshop will explore the theme of 'At War' and draw inspiration from the collections at Worcestershire Archives and Worcester Cathedral's Library. Facilitators Oliver Bliss, Gerard Winter-Hughes, and Holly Winter-Hughes will guide participants through a series of workshops using creative prompts to spark art and discussion. You can also reflect on your own stories of Worcester and your personal connection to the city. The workshop is free of charge, thanks to generous funding from Arts Council England and additional support from Worcester City Council. The project will culminate in a published anthology, joint visual arts and poetry exhibitions, and a poetry map of Worcester's key community spaces. The workshop will take place at The Hive, a vibrant venue with a special place in the city's history.
