This makes paying the taxi driver much easier. Taxis to get downtown usually cost between THB250 – THB400. We highly recommend paying a bit more to take the tollway to avoid getting stuck in hours of heavy traffic. “Kuen ton-way” is a useful phrase to tell your driver to use the tollway.

Taxis from Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) to central Bangkok will cost between THB350 – THB500. Choosing to pay a bit more to use the tollway will help you get downtown a lot quicker. Just remember to make sure the driver uses the meter to avoid overpriced flat fares.
