Fukuoka International Airport is divided into two terminals: the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal. The Domestic Terminal sits on the east side of the airport and has a building area of 109,000 square meters. It features a linear layout with two underground levels and four levels above ground: Level 1 is the mixed-flow level, Level 2 is the departures level, Level 3 is the business area, and Level 4 is the observation area. It’s open daily from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM. The International Terminal is on the west side, with a building area of 73,000 square meters. It also uses a linear layout and has four levels above ground: Level 1 is the arrivals level, Level 2 is the mixed-flow level, Level 3 is the departures level, and Level 4 is the business and observation area. It’s open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:40 PM. A free shuttle bus connects the two terminals. Since Fukuoka Subway’s Fukuoka Airport Station only serves the Domestic Terminal, travelers arriving by subway and transferring to an international flight can take the shuttle bus to the International Terminal. If you’re heading from the International Terminal to the subway station, take the shuttle bus and get off at “Domestic Terminal South” to transfer.
