Flights to Nanjing

Nanjing also known as Nanking or Langiin in the Nanjing dialect is the second-largest city in the Eastern China region and is the capital of Jiangsu province in PRC. The city is located in the Yangtze River Delta and is 300km from Shanghai. The city reserves a prominent place and is an important part of Chinese culture and ancient history. Attractions for tourists in Nanjing

Nanjing has many tourist attractions that you can visit. Where to stay and what to eat in Nanjing

If you are traveling to Nanjing and looking from budget accommodation there is an International Youth Hostel on Pingiiangfu Road that is close to the Qinhuai River that provides economical rooms. For more luxurious hotels head out to the city center. There are many hotels in the Gulou district if you want to stay close to the shopping areas in Nanjing.

When in Nanjing, try only Chinese cuisines. Try one of the many noodle restaurants on Qingdao Lu. For some authentic Japanese food, head out to the 1912 district. 

Tip - Where ever in Nanjing, try the Tangnao, Shredded tofu in chicken broth and Duck soaked in brine.

Local Culture and Language

The local language that is widely spoken in Nanjing is Nankinese which is a dialect. While most youngsters can understand and speak in English you may have to navigate with gestures and broken Chinese if you can pick up for ease of communication locally. 

Tip: With little English, you will do just fine in the city. Take help from people in case you need directions as they are helpful.
