Standard Hollywood Twin Room (Essential) - Non-Smoking
This is an excellent hotel! While it's a bit pricey, the service and quality of the stay are absolutely worth it. The front desk staff were all incredibly friendly during check-in and even upgraded our room. We had a fantastic view of the sports ground, and the room itself was spacious. The bathroom with its wet/dry separation was very comfortable overall. Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. Although the Western breakfast only offered one main dish, it tasted great. The buffet section had fresh squeezed juice and a good variety of salads. My only complaint was the lack of meat; it was all vegetarian. The only meat options were smoked meats like bacon and eggs. I also tried the Japanese breakfast one morning, and it was equally exquisite. Each small dish even had a label indicating the origin of its ingredients. In short, the breakfast presentation was 10/10. One thing to note is that there were hardly any Asian faces; about 90% of the guests were from Europe, America, or the Middle East. Additionally, the hotel has an exclusive lounge for guests with a good selection of drinks and mainly rice cracker snacks that go well with alcohol. Most importantly, the location is super convenient. It's within walking distance to attractions like Kamo River and incredibly close to Shijo shopping street. Everything for shopping and sightseeing is within walking distance. I'll definitely stay here again!

Deluxe Twin Room (Classy) - Non-Smoking
Fantastic polished hotel for families with kids. Location is at the heart of Kyoto's food and commerce areas - Takashimaya, Nishiki / Teramachi markets, and lots of restaurants and shops are all within 5-7 mins walking distance. Kamo River is just a couple of minutes walk away and we rented a bike from a shop near Shijo station.l to cycle along the river. Great fun! That said, from Kyoto Station, you should take taxi if you have large luggage. Without luggage, the hotel is about 20 min bus ride to Kyoto Station.
Our room (two twin beds) is spacious and has a great view of the mountain. Beds are great, with the right level of firmness / softness for us. Hotel offers a lot of free perks, like free wine and refreshments at the 3rd floor lounge area, bonfire with marshmallows, live piano at the bar, Geisha show (on one of the nights during our stay). Great coffee at Blue Bottle Coffee on the ground floor of the hotel building.
Overall very lovely and comfortable stay!

Standard Hollywood Twin Room (Essential) - Non-Smoking
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to a commercial center, and the rooms offer a view of the Kamo River. What was most unexpected was the hotel offering a free chanting performance for guests, which was a very unique experience. The executive lounge had drinks, snacks, and roasted marshmallows. Unfortunately, I missed out on the Japanese breakfast in the morning, as there were only 30 servings available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Standard Hollywood Twin Room (Essential) - Smoking (Only Electronic Cigarettes Allowed)
Every time I visit, I stay at this hotel. The environment is great, and it's very clean. There's a Blue Bottle Coffee downstairs and a patch of grass. In the afternoon, you can sit on the grass and enjoy a cup of coffee. It's so relaxing!

Nice hotel. Full of sakura nearby the hotel and great experience. Also very convenient for dining.
