Everything about Beijing's 2 International Airports: Code, Where & Terminals

Beijing's 2 International Airports: Code, Where & Terminals

Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 2 (Source from Wikipedia)

If you're heading to Beijing, you'll first need to know which airport you're flying into. After countless trips through both airports, let me walk you through everything you should know about Beijing's 2 major airports: Beijing Capital International Airport (main international hub) & Beijing Daxing International Airport.

Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK/ZBAA)

  • Address: Jichang West Rd, Chaoyang District, Beijing, China
  • Code: IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA

Located 25 kilometers northeast of Tiananmen Square, Beijing Capital Airport is the city's main international hub. In 2024, it's handling around 70 million passengers yearly, with flights connecting Beijing to pretty much everywhere in the world.

The airport has three terminals, though Terminal 1 isn't operating right now. Terminal 2 is home to China Eastern, China Southern, and their SkyTeam partners, serving lots of flights within Asia and some to Europe. The Terminal 3 is where you'll find Air China and Star Alliance airlines flying to North America, Europe, and Australia, plus Oneworld carriers like American Airlines, British Airways, and Japan Airlines. You'll also find flights here to major Asian cities like Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, and Singapore.

Most North American travelers (flying United, American, or Air Canada) and European passengers (on Lufthansa, Air France, or KLM) come through Terminal 3. Middle Eastern carriers like Emirates and Qatar Airways also use this terminal, making it easy to connect to their global networks through Dubai or Doha.

Beijing Daxing International Airport (Source from Wikipedia)

Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX/ZBAD)

  • Address: GC56+W6C, Daxing District, Beijing, China
  • Code: IATA: PKX, ICAO: ZBAD

Opened in late 2019, Daxing Airport sits 50 kilometers south of central Beijing. The locals call it the "starfish airport" because, well, it really does look like a starfish from above!

Daxing serves as the new hub for China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines, who've relocated most of their Beijing operations here. Several international carriers like British Airways and Finnair have also made the move to Daxing. The airport has a single 1 terminal building that's incredibly efficient - despite its size, you can reach any gate within 8 minutes of clearing security.

A quick tip: always double-check your ticket because some airlines fly from both airports. If you're staying in central Beijing and have a choice, Capital Airport (PEK) is usually more convenient because it's closer. But both airports are really well-connected - Daxing even has a super-fast train that gets you to the city in about 20 minutes!

Getting from Beijing Capital Airport to City | by Airport Express Train

The Airport Express is my absolute go-to recommendation, and here's why: it’s fast, reliable, and saves you from Beijing’s notorious traffic. At just ¥25 (~US$3.50), it’s far cheaper than a taxi. I’ve taken this train in every season and at all hours—it never disappoints.

Where to Find the Airport Express

  • Terminal 3: Follow the clear blue "Airport Express" signs down to the B2 level of Parking Garage No. 2.
  • Terminal 2: Go to the B2 level of Parking Garage No. 3.

If you get confused, simply ask any airport staff—they’re used to helping travelers find their way.

  • Peak Hours (9:30 AM–12:30 PM and 4:00–6:40 PM): Trains run approximately every 10 minutes. Expect slightly longer travel times due to crowds.
  • Off-Peak: Trains run about every 12 minutes, and you’ll typically have a faster journey.

Note: On Fridays and the last working day before holidays, the peak period is 4:00–7:00 PM.

Ticket and Cost

  • Ticket Price: ¥25 (~US$3.50)
  • Payment Methods: Ticket machines accept Alipay, WeChat Pay, international credit cards, and cash. I always use Alipay - just download the app before your trip and link your credit card or Visa. Then you can simply scan the QR code at the ticket machine and pay in seconds. The machines have perfect English translations, but there's also a staffed counter if you prefer buying tickets from a person.

The Route and Train Experience

The train follows a simple route: T3 → T2 → Sanyuanqiao → Dongzhimen → Beixinqiao (5 stations). It's a 20-30 minute ride through Beijing's outskirts, and you'll get some nice views of the city as you approach downtown.

At Dongzhimen, you can transfer easily to subway Lines 2 and 13. At Sanyuanqiao, you can transfer to Lines 10 and 12. At Beixinqiao, you can transfer to Line 5.

Pro Tips

  1. Hold Onto Your Ticket: You’ll need it to exit (a lesson learned the hard way!).
  2. Plan Around Rush Hour: Crowds can be heavier near the front and back cars during peak hours—try the middle cars for more space.

Getting from Beijing Capital Airport to City | By Taxi and Ride-hailing

Getting from Beijing Capital Airport to City | By Taxi and Ride-hailing

Source from Unsplash: csqxiv

After years of traveling through Beijing, I've taken my fair share of taxis from the airport - sometimes by choice, sometimes because I landed late (after the last Airport Express).

Official Airport Taxis | Best for Late Arrivals

Where to Find Them:

The official taxi stands are super easy to spot. At Terminal 3, head to B1 level - there's a designated waiting area with organized queues. If you're at Terminal 2, exit through Gates 5-9 on the first floor. You'll see the taxi queue right outside. Official Beijing taxis come in various colors (green, blue, maroon, etc.) - this is important to remember!

Cost & Journey Time:

The meter starts at ¥13 for the first 3 km, and there's also a ¥10 toll gate fee (for T3) plus a ¥1 fuel surcharge - all totally normal. For T2 arrivals, the airport expressway is free into the city, so the total is usually around ¥120 including the fuel surcharge.

  • Daytime (5 AM – 11 PM): Taxi fare to central Beijing (like Wangfujing or Sanlitun) typically costs between ¥120-150 (~US$17-21).
  • Nighttime (11 PM – 5 AM): Prices rise due to a 20% night surcharge. The nighttime starting fare is ¥15.60 for the first 3 km, and the per-kilometer rate becomes ¥2.76. Total fare is typically between ¥150-250 (~US$21-35).

The journey usually takes 40-60 minutes, though it can stretch to 90 minutes during rush hour.

Payment Options:

Most drivers now accept Alipay (my preferred method - just scan their QR code), but it's smart to have cash as backup. Some drivers also take WeChat Pay, but I've found Alipay to be more reliable with taxis. If you're paying cash, ¥200 should cover most trips to the city.

Ride-hailing Apps | Best for Convenience

Where to Grab Didi (China's Uber):

Didi has an English app that makes ride-hailing super easy. The pickup spots are different from regular taxis:

  • Terminal 2: Head to the 1st floor of Parking Garage No. 2 (Arrival Level)
  • Terminal 3: Look for Area H on B2 of Parking Garage No. 3

The prices are usually similar or a bit cheaper compared to regular taxis, but the app gives you an exact fare upfront. Plus, you can track your route and share your trip - great for safety!

Ride-hailing Apps: Didi and Alipay

For the easiest airport pickup, you've got 2 great options: the Didi app (China's Uber) and Alipay's built-in ride-hailing service. Didi offers a clean English interface with upfront pricing, while Alipay lets you book rides right from your payment app - super handy since you'll need Alipay in China anyway. Both services use similar pickup spots (1st floor of P2 for Terminal 2, Area H on B2 of P3 for Terminal 3) and show similar prices. I usually check both apps before booking - sometimes Alipay shows better rates during Didi's surge pricing, plus you can split fares with friends on Didi. It's really nice having both options in your pocket!

Payment and Setup Tips

Setting up before you land at airport. Link your international credit card to Alipay, and you're set for both platforms. I usually compare prices on both - it takes just a few seconds and can save you some yuan. The pickup locations are similar whether you book through Didi or Alipay, which makes things simple.

A few tips from my many airport runs: always ignore the taxi touts inside the terminal (they'll seriously overcharge you), and watch out for rush hour traffic - typically between 7-9 AM and 5-8 PM - that's when the Airport Express really shines.

If you're traveling with family or a small group with luggage, taxis can actually work out cheaper than buying separate train tickets. Just make sure you're getting into a legal taxi - they'll always have a meter running, a visible driver ID, and a license plate starting with 京B (jing B).

Getting from Beijing Capital Airport to City | By Bus

Getting from Beijing Capital Airport to City | By Bus

Source from Wikipedia

Hey Beijing explorer! Looking for a wallet-friendly way into the city? The airport bus is your best bet - it's way cheaper than a taxi, and you get to chill in a comfy, air-conditioned coach while watching the city scenes roll by. Fares range from ¥20 to ¥80, and payment can be made via cash or mobile methods like WeChat Pay and Alipay(Recommended for International travellers).

Bus Operating Hours & Frequency

The airport buses from Beijing Capital International Airport have flexible schedules. Most downtown lines operate from early morning (as early as 5:00 AM) to late at night (until around 1:00 AM the next day). During daytime, buses generally depart every 15-30 minutes. At night or on some routes, the interval can be up to 60 minutes.

For travelers arriving late at night, the Night Line runs from 11:00 PM until the last flight, with departures scheduled to get you to the city. Service frequency is dynamic: buses may run every 30-60 minutes, but they can also depart as frequently as every 10-15 minutes when demand is high. In some cases, the driver may depart as soon as the bus is full. It's always a good idea to check the airport's official bus platform for real-time updates.

Where to Find the Buses

  • Terminal 2: The bus stop is located just outside the arrivals hall, near Exit 11.
  • Terminal 3: The bus stop is located on the 1st floor, near Exit 5.
  • Signage: Look for signs that say “Airport Bus” or “机场巴士” in Chinese. Staff members are usually available to assist with directions.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel was spotless, and I loved that the disposable toothbrushes were already in the bathroom, no need to pick them up at the front desk. The room was spacious and well-designed. This is definitely my go-to hotel every time I visit Beijing! A special shout-out to the bathrobes and slippers – they were incredibly comfortable! Breakfast was still mostly Western, and aside from the milk, everything was perfectly to my taste!

I was very satisfied with my stay this time! The hotel's location is very convenient; I didn't have to go far for transportation or dining. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was good, so I had a peaceful night's sleep. The front desk staff, especially Chance, provided warm and thoughtful service, efficiently handling check-in and check-out, and patiently answering any questions. The public areas were clean and impressive, and the facilities were well-maintained. Overall, it offered great value for money, with no disappointments. It's suitable for both short trips and business stays. I've already recommended it to my friends and will definitely choose Sofitel Beijing Central (Accor) again next time I'm in the area. It's truly worth staying!

I specifically came to Beijing for a US visa appointment and chose Air China Boyue Beijing Hotel because it's close to the embassy. It's only a ten-minute walk, so I didn't have to rush to catch a bus in the morning. The room has an old-school, retro vibe with wooden furniture and warm yellow lighting; it felt really atmospheric as soon as I walked in. The bedding felt substantial, and the pillow was just the right firmness. I was exhausted from traveling the day before, but I slept soundly until morning. The air conditioning, hot water, and hairdryer all worked perfectly – no issues with outdated equipment, which sometimes happens in older hotels. Cao at the front desk was very down-to-earth and patiently answered all my questions. Yang Dan even proactively reminded me of a good time to arrive at the embassy, being genuinely helpful. Overall, my stay at Air China Boyue Beijing Hotel was very reassuring. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I apply for a visa.

This hotel offers pretty good value for money, with an excellent location and affordable prices. While the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. However, the customer service and the female front desk staff were quite subpar. They were unwilling to offer room upgrades or late check-outs, which was disappointing. I hope they improve, as it would be a shame to waste such a great location and the efforts of most of the other staff members.

The hotel is a bit old, and my room had no window, with a faint smell of smoke drifting in now and then. There was also a persistent, stale plastic odor in the room. These were the only downsides. The service, however, was genuinely excellent. The housekeeping staff were diligent, enthusiastic, and always ready to help. The same goes for the restaurant staff. The hotel's restaurant offered a rich variety for breakfast. The Napoleon cake, daifuku, and other cakes from Gongzhiwei Bakery were all incredibly delicious. However, it was a significant oversight that there was no timely notification or announcement about the hotel's swimming pool being under maintenance.

The Beijing New Otani Hotel is an established five-star hotel in Beijing, boasting a prime location near a subway station and a wide array of dining options, including Wangfujing. The hotel itself offers a buffet and a Chinese restaurant. Overall, the hotel is well-maintained. In our room, the shower had excellent water pressure and drained quickly. The bedding was soft, and most importantly, the service was exceptionally friendly. We were in a hurry to check out and accidentally left our charger and important cards in the room. Manager Wang Zhaofeng immediately helped us search for them, responding promptly and quickly sending us photos of the found items, which instantly put our minds at ease. She then arranged for expedited shipping to mail them back to us. This kind of heartfelt service, anticipating and addressing guests' urgent needs, is truly commendable. We visited the hotel's breakfast restaurant once, and the variety was extensive, with excellent taste, quality, and freshness. The restaurant service was also timely and enthusiastic, leaving us very satisfied, especially the excellent service from Runze and Xiao Cai Gege. The housekeeping lady on 8th floor was kind and always made sure to top up water and throw rubbish as I didn’t need my room cleaned everyday. The location was excellent and short walk and there’s a nice halal Lanzhou Beef noddle shop across the road and a fruit seller either outside the hotel or across the road in front of 7-11. The hotel was in a great central location. We loved the smart controls in the room which help with lighting and opening the curtains from the bedside. The rooms only downsides were a funny smell specific to our room from behind the fridge and the bathroom door which stuck so hard it needed to be pulled shut and made a lid noise when doing so, some oil should resolve this! Unfortunately when we arrived at 4:15pm from London our room was not ready which was very disappointing after a long trip. We had to wait another hour and go into the city to kill the time. Also everyone should note this hotel has one lift and no stairs, for a hotel with this many rooms this is simply not good enough. The staff use the same lift as does the cute delivery robot. This meant we spent way too much of our time existing for the elevator to down and up. Given we were on the floor above reception this would have been unnecessary if the stairs were accessible. This was a major issue for us and was the only thing that spoiled the stay. Other than this all was great.

This hotel left a fantastic impression on me. Its location is superb, just a one or two-minute walk from the Chongwenmen subway exit. There's a shopping mall right downstairs, making it convenient for shopping and dining. Attractions like the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing are only about a 20-minute walk away. The lobby has a very chic, Shanghai-style concept, and the night bar is perfect for socializing and relaxing. The breakfast offered a refined and extensive selection of both Chinese and Western dishes, and there's even a separate bakery. The guest rooms were impeccably clean, and the mattress was just the right firmness, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The latex pillows were the absolute best – I slept like a baby [smirk]. The staff were friendly and approachable, patiently answering all my questions about local attractions. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, with both Chinese and Western options, and the dining environment was well-organized. It's clear the hotel prioritizes guest experience; communication was smooth, and any minor issues were resolved immediately. The thoughtful and attentive service made me feel incredibly welcome. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Beijing. Highly recommended! 👍🏻

The hotel is incredibly well-located right in the center of Beijing, within walking distance of the main attractions, making our sightseeing trips exceptionally convenient and easy.A special highlight was the lounge on the 19th floor where the club dinners are held. Dining with a glass of wine while enjoying the breathtaking, majestic view of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park is an unparalleled pleasure! The atmosphere there is truly magical. However, the most valuable and outstanding feature of this hotel is how they treat their guests. We experienced not just a high standard of service, but genuine love, warmth, and true, deep hospitality that is so rare to find these days.We arrived at the hotel very early — at 8:00 AM, exhausted from our journey, and were mentally prepared to wait hours for check-in. To our amazement, we were not only greeted with a smile, but were given a room immediately, saving us from tedious waiting!I would like to express my deepest and most sincere gratitude to Mike Wong and Hanson Wang. They took incredible care of our family. Mike personally showed us two excellent rooms to choose from, helping us patiently and politely. The room we fell in love with on the 17th floor was instantly handed over to us.It is because of such dedicated, caring, and professional employees like Mike Wong and Hanson Wang that the brand builds its flawless positive image, making guests want to return over and over again. I highly recommend that the hotel management recognizes both Mike's and Hanson's outstanding dedication and awards them a well-deserved bonus or promotion. They are a true asset to your team!Thank you so much for an impeccable welcome. We will definitely be back and recommend this amazing hotel with all our hearts!

It’s a very good hotel located in ideal location . It’s very near to forbidden city which is just few streets away. Many restaurants located nearby, like Si Ji Min Fu Peking Duck. You could get help from the hotel to get the queue number and waiting at the hotel room before your turn. It’s really save a lot of time. The daily breakfast was good , just that the serving plates or cups were found cracked or chipped , the hotel still use that for serving customers during breakfast .We were given free drink voucher and you gotta to get the voucher from the service counter daily. Free laundry and free robot delivery service . As there’s only one robot for food delivery to room, and during peak hour , you might need to go down to collect the food at the hotel counter yourself . And the room cleaning service is awesome and they helped us to clean the baggage and left us a message in sticky note when the job’s done. Kudos to the dedicated room cleaner. Many local Beijing snacks and cold drinks are served at the hotel lobby and they are free. When we’re checked out , we’re given a small free goodie bag to bring back home.

This hotel exudes an international vibe and boasts a prime location. From the rooms and the rooftop infinity pool, you can fully admire the modern splendor of Beijing's CBD. The loft-style apartment rooms are cozy and well-equipped. We were very grateful for the east-facing room with its fantastic views. The infinity pool is absolutely stunning, offering an unforgettable scenic experience. The gym facilities also surpass 90% of hotels in Beijing at a similar price point, meeting the professional needs of fitness enthusiasts. Enjoying a custom cocktail at the bar on the first floor in the evening was a delightful experience. Overall, the stay offers great value for money and meets high-end hotel standards.

This time, we opted Club Deluxe giving us access to the lounge on the 18th floor. Our children were not the only minors but the club access maintained a professional atmosphere. The choice for afternoon tea was plenty and breakfast mimics the big buffet. Ask for a room with a view of the CGTN building, it’s stunning! Our room was 1625

The room quality and service were excellent, especially considering the location and price – incredible value for money! It's just a short walk from the South Square of Beijing West Railway Station. The breakfast was very good, the room felt quite luxurious, and the front desk even gave me a free room upgrade. I had a very comfortable stay.

This was my first time staying at the Park Plaza. We came because my child had an exam at the Academy of Arts and Design's attached high school. When we arrived, I didn't even realize there was a hotel next door. What drew us in was the parking lot we spotted as we drove by, and it was indeed very close to the school. The security guard at the entrance confirmed there was plenty of parking, and we were impressed to find both above-ground and underground spaces. So, we decided to book a room. The price was reasonable, not expensive at all, and the hotel had everything: a restaurant, breakfast, and a gym. Stepping into the lobby, it was bright, and a pleasant aroma filled the air, immediately giving us a holiday vibe and easing our nerves. The young lady at the front desk was incredibly warm and thorough during check-in. She double-checked our late checkout request multiple times to ensure it was fine. Knowing we were there for our child's exam, she even extended our checkout to 3 PM, which was a very rare and thoughtful gesture. Despite many students and parents checking in, it never felt crowded. The elevators were fast, room service was prompt, and the little robot delivering items was adorable and busy. The room itself was spacious and clean. The first night, the hot water in the bathroom wasn't very hot, possibly due to a high number of guests, but the bathtub was very comfortable, and the bedding was cozy. There was a slight creak when turning over, but it was acceptable. Staff were quick to respond to any extra requests. Parking was free after registering at the front desk. Overall, the value for money is good. I recommend it to anyone who needs a place to stay.

Facilities: The kids' playground was a bit disappointing. One slide was under maintenance, and there was no trampoline, just building blocks and such – not much to play with. It was worse than what I expected from a family-friendly hotel's children's facilities. The pool was great and clean. The hot spring pools were also a lot of fun. However, the outdoor area only opens at 10:30 AM and the slides close around 5 PM. In Beijing's summer, it's impossible to play when it's at its hottest; you'd get roasted. And it closes before it even gets dark. It's a bit of a shame that we couldn't fully enjoy the outdoor slide pool. Cleanliness: Clean. Service: Very good and enthusiastic. Kevin, our butler, helped us solve all sorts of problems throughout our stay. Many thanks to him. Environment: Right next to Wanda Plaza, so no worries about food and drinks. It was very convenient. The hotel lobby bar was also good, with decent standards.

A perfect experience, truly living up to its renowned reputation as 'The Commune'! The design is absolutely stunning, and as the filming location for 'Love in the Buff,' it's incredibly photogenic. Both the public areas and the rooms are picture-perfect. The windows offer breathtaking mountain views, especially healing at sunset. Waking up naturally to sunshine and birdsong each day, completely escaping the city's hustle and bustle, I truly embraced a slow-paced life of eating, strolling, and taking photos. After three days, my mind and body feel completely refreshed. I'm already looking forward to my second visit. I also want to give a special shout-out to Alvin at the front desk. His service was warm, attentive, and he handled everything seamlessly. Highly recommended!

Pros: 1. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering fresh air and truly beautiful surroundings. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, and the hotel's decor and maintenance are quite good. Our butler, Bella, was incredibly meticulous and thoughtful, taking care of every little detail. She met all our needs, making our stay exceptionally comfortable. 2. There's a wide array of facilities and activities, including a mountainside hot spring, indoor pool, Hatha yoga, singing bowl therapy, a gym, and a kids' club. It's perfect for families, and the kids' club is large and newly renovated – it just reopened in May. It's definitely more fun than the kids' clubs at other hotels I've visited. Plus, children aged 4 and up can be supervised for free, which made my little one super happy! 3. The room key card came with a park map, showing hiking trails. There's an easy 5-kilometer mountain boardwalk, perfect for families, where you can visit the Eight Planets viewing platforms. 4. The breakfast was impressive! They had steaks, lamb chops, and a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. However, the cured meats were generally a bit too salty. Cons: 1. For a 5-star hotel, there was no safe in the room. 2. While there's an abundance of kids' activities, most of them come with a fee. 3. Since the kids' club was newly renovated, the smell was quite strong, making my eyes and throat uncomfortable. Overall, we were still very satisfied. I imagine it would be even more atmospheric to visit in winter for the hot springs, though I expect it would be extremely crowded.

The room is very spacious, and the bathroom area is quite large, perfect for a family. There's plenty of room for dining and playing together. The height of the chairs and tables is a bit mismatched; you sink in quite a bit when you sit down. The bunk beds were a hit with the kids. Plus, there's a private indoor hot spring in the room, which is free and quite nice. The hotel breakfast is pretty average, with the variety and taste on par with a 3-star hotel in the city center. The hot spring is connected to the hotel, and you can re-enter until noon the next day by registering your room number. However, you do need to exchange your entry wristband.

The hotel facilities are also good; the room was spacious, and the balcony offered expansive views, giving a true vacation feel. There are plenty of parent-child activities too, like hot springs, a playground, and fireflies – our kids had a blast. We'd definitely come back if we have the chance.

I chose this star-rated hotel for my business trip, and it absolutely delivered on luxury—the experience was fantastic. The location deserves a special mention; it's incredibly convenient for getting around. You can walk to Metro Line 1 and Line 5, making travel effortless. Just 50 meters left from the hotel entrance is a mall with so many shopping and dining options, it's hard to choose—all your retail and food cravings are easily satisfied. The room was an even bigger surprise. It was incredibly spacious, bright, and well-lit. The floor-to-ceiling window offered an amazing view; lying in bed and enjoying the scenery was pure bliss. The amenities were comprehensive, and the pillows and mattress were perfectly comfortable. I slept like a log, straight until morning—it was incredibly refreshing. The breakfast was also noteworthy, with a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options. I was very satisfied every morning. I had such a pleasant stay these past few days that I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

I booked a 'Superior King Room' through Ctrip, but the decor was quite old. The next day, thanks to the enthusiastic assistance of Sunny, the duty manager in the lobby, I managed to extend my stay in a 'Deluxe King Room,' which was much brighter and more satisfying! What's more, when Sunny learned that a family member wasn't feeling well, she promptly sent up a fruit platter and advised us to take more Vitamin C – it was a really thoughtful gesture! The floor attendants were also very polite, always greeting us with a smile, refilling water promptly, and providing excellent turndown service every night. The hotel breakfast didn't have an overwhelming variety, but the taste, quality, and freshness were all excellent, and the restaurant service was prompt and warm. Very satisfied overall. The hotel is conveniently located near the subway and bus stops, making it easy to get around.

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed at NUO Hotel Beijing. We've been coming here every time we visit Beijing since my child was very young! This time, the front desk staff, Mina, upgraded our room and gave us complimentary executive breakfast on the 25th floor, which was much appreciated! The breakfast selection was small but exquisite, and the service was excellent. There are many kid-friendly attractions around NUO Hotel, and the pool is also very clean. Among hotels in Beijing at a similar price point, the location and value for money are top-notch. We booked a twin room this time, and they combined the beds into a super-king, just like at Universal NUO – a big thumbs up! One minor thing: the walls in room 2023 were a little dirty. Hopefully, they can tidy that up if they see this review.

The room facilities were complete, the room was clean, the amenities were of good quality, and the resting environment was quiet and comfortable. Parking is quite convenient, and the service is good too. After all, it's CTS (China Travel Service), they really know how to run things. You can choose from various pillows, like buckwheat, which is a nice touch. The ice cream and pasta at the Western restaurant are also delicious. I stayed here last month, and this time they upgraded my room when I rebooked – much appreciated! The breakfast view is nice; you can see the 3rd Ring Road from the window seats. However, the savory tofu pudding (doufunao) topping was sweet, which was inedible for me.

I booked an Executive King Room, and the hotel upgraded me to a suite, which I then upgraded myself to their signature panoramic view room. The view was excellent, offering a 270-degree view from three sides, directly facing the bustling Sanlitun Taikoo Li commercial district. This is one of Beijing's most vibrant areas, with many events, such as the outdoor fashion week happening right downstairs during my stay. The hotel's location is superb, surrounded by malls, bars, and restaurants. There's a constant flow of people and traffic throughout the day and well into the night. The InterContinental Club on the 22nd floor offered morning tea and afternoon tea with fewer crowds and excellent service – even more welcoming and attentive than other hotels. The gym and swimming pool were both good and not crowded at all. The emotional value of standing by the window in the panoramic view room and enjoying the scenery was truly immense. The downside, however, is the price; I wouldn't have been able to afford it if the hotel hadn't given me a discount. Also, the electric curtains on the front and both side panoramic windows are linked, meaning that most of the time, to block out the view of the neighboring guest room from one side, the other panoramic curtain also has to be closed, which is quite frustrating. It would be better if they were manual curtains instead.

Traveling to Beijing alone for medical treatment, the Regent was fantastic! It's definitely the top choice for patients going to Peking Union Medical College Hospital; it's just a 5-minute walk, right across the street. My flight landed at Capital Airport at 10 PM, and I needed to take medicine late at night. The Hainanese chicken rice I ordered was deboned and delicious! They even rushed the order for me, and it arrived in my room very quickly. I specifically asked the front desk to wake me up at 7 AM and then again at 7:30 AM. They successfully woke me up for my 7 AM appointment at Xiehe (Peking Union Medical College Hospital), allowing me to be on time for my consultation. All the room service meals were delicious. Since I'd lost weight and was a bit weak, I didn't want to go out, so I ordered room service several times and was very satisfied. The food was great, so everyone can feel confident eating at the hotel! The male duty manager was excellent; he promptly explained and resolved a few minor unpleasant service issues. The front desk staff were also serious, responsible, and enthusiastic, which made for a very pleasant guest experience. The housekeeping auntie was also very warm and attentive to guests. The room service staff and floor managers were all very polite. Truly a top-tier InterContinental creation, the Regent! Worth coming back to!
