Each room comes with a KRW 50,000 gift card: I forgot how to use this one. Located in Myeongdong, it's an older five-star hotel. Because it's an older five-star, the building is a bit low-rise and not very prominent in Myeongdong (as a person bad with directions, I had to use navigation every time to get back to the hotel). The Airport Limousine Bus 6701 goes directly there, which is super convenient! Across from the hotel: There's a 7-Eleven and GS25 if you use the underground passage. Next door, there's an emart24. Facilities: Well-equipped. Cleanliness: Good. Ambiance: Stylish, but the corridor outside the room had a slightly unpleasant smell. It's very close to Lotte Department Store, and Shinsegae Department Store isn't far either; Shinsegae is a bit better for shopping. Service: Polite and enthusiastic. The room key card is made of wood and is quite beautiful.

If you're staying in Myeongdong, I highly recommend this established hotel. The subway entrance is right downstairs, and there's a bus stop just across the street. Lotte Department Store is also right next door. The location is absolutely unbeatable! The cleanliness and service are excellent, and the staff are not only good-looking but also very gentle. The breakfast is quite delicious. The only downside is that the room is a bit small, but that's to be expected given the location.

I rarely write hotel reviews, but I just had to for this one! Today, I decided to explore a different area and moved to a hotel in Hongdae. The contrast was shocking – both are in popular Seoul areas, but the difference was huge! On that note, I'm going to call out 9 Bricks Hotel Hongdae as one to avoid. I'll be reviewing them when I check out tomorrow… Now, let me praise L'escape – the location is absolutely fantastic! It's right by Hoehyeon Station on Subway Line 4, Exit 7. From the escalator at the exit, there are signs directing you to the hotel! Honestly, you don't even need the signs because you can see the hotel as soon as you step out onto the street. There's a slight uphill walk, and as I was halfway up with my luggage, a hotel staff member came running out to help! The service was incredible! 👍 If you don't go above ground from Exit 7, the other direction leads directly into Shinsegae Department Store. It’s a multi-story department store with food, a duty-free shop, luxury goods, and affordable items – great for browsing! Outside on the ground level of Shinsegae, there's a 3D mega-screen, similar to the one at Taikoo Li in Chengdu, but much more visually appealing and with fewer advertisements. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Myeongdong. As a proper tourist, Myeongdong is a must-visit! Especially after exploring Hongdae today… I really want to go back to Myeongdong! 😢 Now, about the hotel itself (my picture arrangement is a bit messy, can't adjust it yet…) The hotel itself has a distinctive style. It might feel a little old-fashioned and perhaps not ideal for families with young children, but it's clean, tidy, and still very refined! Even the elevators are decorated, somewhat reminiscent of The Ritz in London. The toiletries are BYREDO, just like at Six Senses. The mini-bar is completely free, and the Nespresso capsules and chocolates are excellent. The hotel's restaurant is Michelin-starred year after year – not cheap, but certainly fantastic. The Tea Lounge was closed by the time I arrived, but I'm sure it's also wonderful. The bar on the 26th floor is very chill, and you can get great photos with ease! The postcards provided in the room are beautiful, and they even offer free mailing! I also love the design of the notepads and the toiletry packaging – the hand-drawn illustration style is gorgeous! The hotel service is also excellent. Most of the staff speak English and are always ready to help with luggage, calling taxis, and opening car doors. In summary, it's a high-end hotel service experience through and through! But I only paid just over 800 RMB for my stay – it far exceeded my expectations! Next time I come to Seoul, I will 100% rebook this hotel.

The night skyline, in particular, was one of the highlights of this hotel. What made this stay even more special was the service provided by Manager Minji Cho. Her thoughtful, professional, and genuinely attentive care made the entire experience feel very comfortable and welcoming. Her sincere approach left a lasting impression. Everything from the facilities to the service was excellent, and this is definitely a hotel I would be happy to return to on my next visit to Seoul. The staff were very helpful and communication was quick. The main entrance has stairs, and there's a small slope leading to the back entrance, but the signs aren't very clear, which can be a bit inconvenient if you're lugging suitcases. There was a used cotton swab on the carpet that hadn't been cleaned, but otherwise, the cleanliness was quite good.

I paid 1846 CNY for an accessible deluxe king room. To those of you reading this, please don't overlook the 'accessible' part – it really means accessible, in a way that’s not good. The bathroom, as shown in the first picture, has no wet/dry separation, so after a shower, the entire bathroom is soaked. If you absolutely must stay here, make sure to book a different room type. Secondly, the homepage stated a 1.8-meter king bed, but it was at most 1.5 meters (see picture 2), and one side was against the wall, which was extremely inconvenient. The detailed room photos didn't show anything like this! Thirdly, regarding the 'city view' from the bed (see picture 3), it was literally a wall outside the window, and there was a loud rumbling noise from somewhere outside – I honestly felt like calling the police! Finally, the details page said check-in starts at 3 PM. I went to check in at 3:10 PM, and was told that the specific room I booked was the only accessible one available and there were no other rooms to switch to. The Korean male at the front desk checking me in was really mean. I decided to go back to my room and contact Trip.com customer service. After over an hour of back-and-forth communication, and despite Trip.com trying to resolve the issue, it was incredibly frustrating. Who wants to land in Korea and immediately deal with this kind of crap? It really ruined my mood. Anyway, I gave up, accepted it, and just resigned myself to the situation. So, if you're reading this, consider carefully whether to book this hotel or use this platform. I later saw that the IHG official website had cheaper prices than what I paid, and I wonder if booking directly would have been better. Next time I'm in Seoul, I definitely won't choose this place; I'll try somewhere else.

Getting here from Incheon Airport is a breeze – just take bus 6015 directly to the hotel, and for your return, you can catch the bus right outside. It's super handy! There are also several subway stations nearby. If you're coming from Line 2, exit 10 has an escalator, which is great if you're traveling with luggage. Check-in was fast and the staff were lovely, always smiling. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job daily, even noticing I have long hair that needs blow-drying and kindly swapped out my old hairdryer for a newer, more efficient one. That was a really thoughtful touch!

The main drawbacks are that there are no power outlets by the bedside table, so you have to charge your devices at the desk. Environment: Great location, close to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park subway station Exit 6 (just a few hundred meters walk, very convenient). You can see Namsan Tower from the window. The CJ ENM building is directly opposite the hotel. It's very convenient for visiting Dongdaemun, Myeongdong, Gyeongbokgung, etc. However, Exit 6 of the subway has many stairs, which can be really tiring if you're carrying a large suitcase. Service: Overall good. The front desk staff all speak Chinese, so communication is smooth. Any issues are resolved promptly. (All photos were taken with a 1x lens, no wide-angle. The room is genuinely very small, but it's clean, conveniently located, and a good choice when the price is right.)

I enjoyed my stay here! The room is spacious enough for me and it was near many malls for shopping purposes. It is also quite central and accessible to other locations like Seoul Station. I also really like that I had a bathtub which I think is rare nowadays. The staff were really friendly and happy to help out when I needed something! The balcony view out to the city was great too.

The room was really tiny. Whatever you do, don't buy any package deals, like the one for Petite France – it's incredibly far, like an hour and a half to two hours away, and you can't even get a refund. It doesn't really feel like a five-star hotel; more like a four-star. You can walk to Myeongdong in about 20 minutes from the hotel by taking the underground passage straight from Dongdaemun. But I found Korea to be quite run down, with power lines everywhere. Unless you're a big K-pop fan or love concerts, a trip to Korea can be pretty disappointing. The photo is of a cafe in a shopping area near Dongdaemun. This hotel isn't far from Dongdaemun.

I had an excellent 6-night stay at ENA Suite Hotel Namdaemun. The hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of City Hall Station, Namdaemun Market, Deoksugung Palace, and many restaurants and convenience stores. It was very convenient for sightseeing and using public transportation throughout Seoul. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially by Seoul standards. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well maintained, and housekeeping did a great job every day. The in-room amenities and reliable Wi-Fi made the stay even more enjoyable. What impressed me most was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They were always helpful, courteous, and willing to assist whenever needed. The hotel offers excellent value for money, combining a convenient location, comfortable accommodations, and quality service. After spending 6 nights here, I can confidently recommend ENA Suite Hotel Namdaemun to both first-time visitors and returning travelers to Seoul.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting Korea for a health check-up at Korea University Guro Hospital, and my first impression was excellent thanks to the incredibly kind front desk staff. Since I needed to drink a lot of water for my colonoscopy preparation, they generously provided plenty of bottled water and showed such warm hospitality throughout my stay. I stayed in Room 803, and the small private balcony with a beautiful city view was absolutely wonderful. I stayed with my mother, and the bedding was so clean and comfortable that I was able to forget my worries about the health check-up the next day and sleep very peacefully. Another thing I really appreciated was the taxi stand located right outside the hotel. Since I did not have a Korean phone number, it was difficult to call Kakao Taxi, so having taxis readily available made everything so convenient. It only cost about 5,800 won to comfortably get to Korea University Guro Hospital. Thank you again for the kindness and wonderful service. I would gladly stay here again in the future.

Friendly and great service by the front desk staff. Initially was given a room on the 8th floor according to my request, but the room size was far too small than what I anticipated for 3 senior citizens. There was no walking space and no place for us to hang our clothes. However, the staff and the manager was helpful and kind to switch us to another bigger room on the 2nd floor. He even was willing to let me view the room first before I decide to take it up without added cost. When I called them during the night to say the room was very cold and cannot adjust the temperature since it is centralized controlled, they immediately sent a portable heater up to us. The front desk staff were all very courteous and helped us with our direction to find a nearby hospital for my sister who sprained her ankle and even wrote in Korean language for us to show to the hospital and also our tour meeting place to the taxi driver. On our last day, when it rained, they also offered us umbrella to get around outside. We could also order food in. Room was always cleaned up. Checking in and out also a breeze. Thumbs up for their excellent service. 👍👍👍👍

The biggest plus of this hotel is the spacious rooms. Since it was recently renovated, the facilities are brand new and very clean. We booked a quad room, which was a suite with two separate rooms, four beds, and two large TVs. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub. Both rooms and the bathroom had sliding doors, allowing for privacy and quiet. The hotel service was also excellent. The front desk had staff who spoke Chinese. The older gentleman on the ground floor who helped with luggage was incredibly enthusiastic; he assisted us with our bags upon arrival and departure. We really felt the warmth of the Korean people from this very responsible man. The hotel isn't super close to Myeongdong, about a 15-20 minute walk, but it's very convenient for subway travel. It's just two stops on Line 2 to Myeongdong, and you can also get directly to Seongsu-dong. Line 5 takes you to Yeouido. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the subway station. There's also a reasonably large CU convenience store right below the hotel, which is very handy! Overall, the excellent interior environment and spacious rooms more than make up for the slightly less central location. It offers fantastic value for money! I would definitely book this hotel again on my next trip to Seoul!

The location is super convenient, with subway, bus stops, and even an airport shuttle nearby. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Especially a gentleman with glasses at the front desk, who was so patient in explaining how to get to the airport shuttle and even drew us a map! I would definitely prioritize staying at this hotel again on my next trip to Seoul!

Facilities: Very new and exceptionally clean. Hygiene: Excellent. Environment: The location is incredibly convenient. It's very close to the subway station and within walking distance to Myeongdong. Getting to Hongdae and Gyeongbokgung is also a breeze. We had a fantastic five days in Seoul, and this hotel played a huge part in making our trip enjoyable! Service: Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping team were very friendly and helpful. There's a GS convenience store right downstairs, which is super handy for buying T-money cards and other small essentials.

My stay was quite satisfactory overall, but the taxi experience after checking out today was truly awful. The bellhop, who was initially very friendly and helpful, confirmed I wanted to go to Gimpo Airport. However, after asking for the terminal, he somehow wrote Incheon Airport on the slip for the taxi driver. The taxi drove for a long time, and I realized we weren't getting there. Checking the map, we were already far from Gimpo and heading towards Incheon. I quickly told the driver I needed to go to Gimpo, and we had to turn back, adding an extra 30 minutes to the journey and costing me over 20,000 Korean Won. It was quite frustrating. Aside from that small incident, everything else was pretty good. This time, the room I booked was significantly smaller than the one I had last time. There was no small coffee table or sofa, and the bed was much smaller. However, I could see a nice view outside the window. Personally, I think a spacious room is more important than a view. On the bright side, the bed this time was very comfortable, which helped improve my sleep quality. The room facilities were also good, and it was cleaned very thoroughly every day. The hotel's location is also excellent. I think I'll still choose to stay here next time.

Traveling with kids means location, transport, and dining options, catering to both crowds and quiet spots, are all key considerations. First off, the location was perfect – the airport shuttle drops you right at the hotel, just across the street. We noticed fewer Chinese guests and more European and American visitors. Right opposite the hotel, there's Olive Young, McDonald's, and a fried chicken joint. To the left and right of the hotel entrance, you'll find a 7-Eleven on each side. The streets behind the hotel are packed with restaurants. Just about 200 meters to the left of the hotel entrance is Mapo Subway Station, which is only one stop from Yeouido Department Store – super convenient. If you head right from the hotel, you'll reach Gongdeok Subway Station, where you can find the popular Egg Drop sandwiches, which are a great value for breakfast. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, so it's a good idea to bring your own set. If you forget, there's a machine on the first floor where you can buy them. For your return journey, you can catch the airport shuttle to the airport right in front of the McDonald's opposite the hotel. You can buy tickets on-site by scanning a QR code or paying with cash. Highly recommend this hotel for families with children.

The location near Mapo/Gongdeok station is absolutely perfect — easy access to the subway made exploring the city effortless, from Gyeongbokgung Palace to Hongdae and Myeongdong. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a Premium Room, which was spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable for our family of four. The room was spotlessly clean with modern amenities and a lovely view. The highlight was access to the Executive Lounge — a wonderful bonus that we truly appreciated. The lounge offered a relaxed atmosphere, great refreshments, and attentive service. It made our mornings and evenings so much more enjoyable, especially with two kids in tow! The staff throughout were warm, professional and incredibly helpful — nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast spread was impressive with a good variety of Korean and Western options. Mapo is a great neighbourhood — safe, vibrant and full of great dining options just steps from the hotel. Would highly recommend Roynet Hotel Mapo for families visiting Seoul. This is the ideal hotel to stay-in in Seoul because it is literally located right at the heart of Myeong-dong everywhere happening. There is a large 7-11 conveniently located just 10 metres away, the start of a night market just another 20 metres away. Cross over to the other side and there's all the luxury shopping (Lotte Deparment Stall) which in my opinion is better than Gangnam. another direction and you will hit Myeongdong shopping main street. Go underneath and there will be a huge underground shopping mall that leads all the way to City Hall main station. Rooms are very spacious, the gym was excellent and last but not least, the staffs were all very friendly and kind to allow us to check-in early due to available vacant rooms. My family and I will definitely be back here when we comes back to Seoul again.

The Incheon Airport Bus 6001 takes you directly to the hotel in just over an hour. If you have a lot of luggage, I highly recommend taking the bus as it's quite convenient. It costs 17,000 KRW per person. The room was clean and tidy, and there's free coffee on the third floor. Check-in was easy with basic English communication. If you turn left when you exit the hotel, there's an underpass that leads to the subway station. There's a convenience store right next to the hotel on the right, and another one across the street to the left.

We stayed for 4 nights and overall had a mixed experience. The hotel has a good location for exploring Seoul and the rooms are comfortable enough for a short stay. The staff were a real highlight — very friendly, helpful, and all spoke excellent English, which made communication very easy. However, housekeeping was inconsistent and cleanliness did not always meet the standard expected from a 4-star hotel. We also had issues with basic amenities not being replenished, such as shower gel. We had also expected a room with a view of N Seoul Tower, but this did not happen, which was truly disappointing for us. Overall, while the service from the staff was excellent, the hotel itself falls a bit short of a true 4-star experience.

It was overflowing with water in the middle of the night, forcing us to switch rooms. Mr. Li at the front desk provided excellent service.
