Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) currently operates via Terminal 2 (T2) and the newly opened Terminal 3 (T3).

⚠️ Important Operational Update: Terminal 1 (T1) has ceased all operations and is closed for major renovations. Do not head to T1.

• Terminal 2 (T2): Functions primarily as the hub for China Southern Airlines and its SkyTeam/partner airlines for both domestic and international routes.

• Leaving the Airport: If you have an overnight stay or need to switch terminals via landside, you must apply for a 24-hour Temporary Entry Permit at the immigration counter. If you stay airside within the same terminal, immigration clearance is not required.

144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

• Eligibility: Citizens from 54 eligible countries (including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and EU nations) holding a confirmed onward ticket to a third country/region departing within 144 hours.
• Permitted Area: You are allowed to leave the airport and travel anywhere within Guangdong Province for up to 6 days.
• Application Process: Proceed to the dedicated 24/144-hour Visa-Free Transit desk before reaching the main passport control. You must present your passport (valid for at least 3 months), a completed blue Temporary Entry Application Card, your onward boarding pass/itinerary, and a hotel reservation.
