This is the best rest stop I’ve stayed at so far. There’s free parking and a 24-hour reception, so you can safely leave your car there. It’s also within walking distance to the city centre, which saves a lot on parking fees. When I stayed there, there weren’t many people, so it felt like having the whole place to myself. The bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas were quiet and clean, with no unpleasant smells, and someone came regularly to tidy up. The room was very comfortable as well. Highly recommended!

The castle is very big and you can see the sea. It is a very good experience. You can choose your own buffet breakfast. I recommend the Lanark breakfast. Guests staying in the hotel can participate in the castle dinner. It is also great value for money. I will go there again if I have the chance.

There were only me and my family in the camp because there were not many tourists in winter, and the hotel had a large beach!

I was really scared by the previous comments, but the experience was good after the actual stay. The landlord will send an email in advance to inform the location of the homestay and how to check in by yourself. It is about two or three kilometers away from the main city of Wanaka, and the last section of the road is without street lights. If you are not driving, it is not recommended to stay. But it is precisely because there is no light around the remote location, and you can watch stars in the yard at night. There is a parking space in the yard, and I feel very warm as soon as I enter the house. It should be that the landlord has turned on the air conditioner in advance. The room is fully set, and the coffee made by the capsule coffee machine is very fragrant. The bedding feels sanitary conditions are average, and there are old stains. Fortunately, we have brought our own four-piece travel kit.

This is my first time staying in a fully self-service motel. The guest's name will be written on the sign at the door. Simple and clear x Facilities: Fully equipped with tableware, tea bags, microwave, and cups, all carefully prepared, but you need to bring your own slippers. This is the same in almost any hotel (in New Zealand) The mattress is super comfortable and supportive. Very good sleep. Hygiene: clean, spotless, satisfactory, cost-effective Environment: Quiet residential area. I saw a kitten in the morning. If you are not able to arrive at check-in time, you must contact us to receive instructions on how to get the key. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but the bathroom and shower were clean. There was a family shower room, but there were no instructions on how to use it, so I couldn't use it. I could see pretty stars at night, and at night I was able to rest comfortably because it was quiet. Parking was convenient because I could park right in front of the room.

If you use Google Maps, remember to select the pedestrian path for directions. Otherwise, it may guide you to an abandoned house. The view from the dining room was nice, but we found some short blond hairs on the bed. We weren't too concerned about it, but others might be. The breakfast is quite Western—bread and jam, with milk or yogurt. It's a nice place, suitable for a short nap before takeoff. Nearby Saddle Hill is a great spot for viewing the Southern Lights if the timing is right. You could also ask John for local tips—he might know the best viewing spots. A large motel, the hotel grounds are a large park. There is a large lawn and a rugby field. very quiet. We live in a separate area. The room is not big and can accommodate 2-3 people. There is a public kitchen, which is large and cooking is no problem. There are dedicated public toilets and bathrooms, only hotel guests have keys, one minute's walk from the room. There is a medium-sized supermarket 5 minutes' walk away. It is a 10-minute walk from the town center, less than 20 kilometers from Queenstown, and a 20-minute drive. Compared with the same housing price in Queenstown, it is half cheaper.

Excellent stay , great location and friendly staff, only issue was the skychannel box for TV was not working . stayed here many times and always good.

The hotel is located quite near the city center but on a steep slope. Need much effort to walk up the steep footpath/road to the hotel. Not much facilities provided in the hotel. The worst is that there is no table/chair provided in the room.
