It is very good traditional Japanese onsen. Japanese/Western-style Room (Twin Room + Japanese-style Room) is the best choice! Staff members are not English skilled but try to understand and serve the guests. They are very-very friendly. There are two breakfast options: set and buffet. Staff inform on the option a night before. Multi-night stay provides opportunity to test both options. Meal (Japanese style) is very delicious. Public baths (separate for men and women) are available from 5:30 am till 9:00 am and from 3:00 pm till midnight. It is excellent experience for the foreign guests.FromUS$60.00

This is a brand new hotel along the shoreline. Our Première Room was lovely, very nicely designed with a great layout. We loved the outdoor hot onsen bath in the balcony which looked out to the sea. The public outdoor onsen bath (which looked like an infinity pool) is an absolute must! You can enjoy the spectacular sea view while doing onsen in a “sleeping” position. Dinner was served in the hotel restaurant, food was really average, to be honest. Breakfast was buffet style. Love this hotel, really hope to return one day. FromUS$440.00

Kaichoen is a very nice onsen resort, I like the traditional Japanese style. 5-min walk from central bus station, Room is spacious and clean, Food is wonderful, Service is excellent! Reception staff can communicate in English well. Onsen is not big enough (free private onsen is available, though it's quite small). Not much view from room and onsen. We will definitely go again. After staying for three days, there was no bed change, only towels were changed. Asking the staff for the price of the room rate was not included. O mouth! A double room needs a few thousand mosquitoes. Blame yourself for being clear.
The staff is courteous, carefully review the booking information, and respond politely.
The double room is larger than the average sprinkler shop and can hold two large suitcases.

The hotel's location is a 10-minute walk from the station ... the airport has a direct bus to the hotel, but there is a specific time to check it in advance, if you miss it you need to walk to the hotel.
The quality of ANA is still credible, and next to the hotel is Kiyoshi Matsumoto and the supermarket, which is very convenient.

Location cannot be better. Within 3 mins walk, I can reach the Yonago JR station, bus ticket building, bus station, as well as AEON mall where the collection of snacks and souvenirs are wide ranging and complete, and a street with quite a number of restaurants. The room rate is very good too. The guests are decent and mostly are Japanese (Yonago is generally not touristy, mainland Chinese not landed yet) thus I can enjoy the tranquility. The room is standard Japanese type, clean cozy and I am very satisfied. My room faces the train rails and no noise was heard. I had stayed for 4 nights and there's a little bit difference each day so I was not bored. But as the breakfast is so good, I always ate too much and had to skip lunch which I didn't want to actually. I wanted to try more restaurants outside. The staff are very nice and polite, as expected in Japan.

It's quite amazing we actually stayed here twice over a period of mere 6 months, but this business hotel is strategically located in close proximity to Yonago station, and serves as a great gateway to explore Sakaiminato, Tottori Hanakairo, and Kaike Onsen. We stayed in an economy double room, and in general, Toyoko-Inn's economy double room always have a slightly larger bed (double) comparing to most hotel's similar class accommodation (semi-double bed). Free breakfast is provided, and the hotel also have a host of good facilities such as coin laundry, microwave oven, drinking water, ice machine, vending machine, free laptop usage and printing etc, and if you book more than 2 nights from their website and opt out room cleaning for the 2nd night, you get 300 Yen discount, very typical Toyoko-Inn style. Toyoko-Inn's rooms are always well maintained, this one ain't any different. In-room WiFi is dedicated, not shared, so connection always remain strong and fast. What I like most about the hotel is that despite its close proximity to the railway station, its prices does not fluctuate in accordance to supply and demand like many other hotels did. There's also a super cheap supermarket within 15 mins walk, that's the cheapest I had seen throughout Japan! But all in all, given its price, the cleanliness, size of its bed, a wide range of amenities, and almost unbeatable location, you can hardly find any better hotel in the area. If anything, the only negative comment I have is, they don't keep your luggage overnight (no problem if within same day). So we got to drag our entire luggage to Kaike Onsen and back the following day.
