1. Breakfast was poor, neither English nor local. The only good thing is that the Chinese restaurant tastes good. 2. The service is average. I booked a deluxe room (5th to 7th floors), but it turned out to be a superior room (1-4th floor). The front desk clerk had to treat people as fools and said that the rooms were the same. No difference, why is the price different? !! Only changed the room after theory. 3. In the previous review, the toiletries were written by Bvlgari. Maybe they did not make it clear which room type-not all room types have Bvlgari. When asked this question at the front desk, the hotel could only fool: "We are changing the toiletries ...". 4. There are not many varieties of gym equipment and they are small and crowded. 5. The hotel WI-FI has no password, and the speed of each room is different. It depends on the luck of the guests. The room with a large number has a slightly better Internet speed. I am afraid that it will affect the network class and the hotel. Therefore, a router was provided to barely be able to access the network class. 6. The hotel strictly adheres to the principle of hospitality of people who do not dare to offend. No matter what type of suite you book, as long as you do it unswervingly, you will be given preferential service. They will not hesitate to ask those who have reserved patience in advance for higher-level room types. I still do n’t understand how this hotel scores 4.7? !! Pictures are beautiful and served a lot.

I loved my stay at Galadari Hotel. However must mention, I was traveling on my own and booked a NON SMOKING room with a double bed. When I went to the reception, I was told that they can only give a a SMOKERS ROOM, or I could get a room with 2 single beds. Telling your non smoking guest that you will put them in a smokers room is an insult as they smell bad and a non smokers can’t handle it. That was the worst service I have ever experienced at any hotel during check in. First impression was ruined by this arrogant staff member who was quite condescending, perhaps some training would help. However, another person quickly advised that they can get me the correct room. Staff at Bell desk and rest of the front office are fantastic and house keeping and room service are absolutely perfect. The best feature for me was the inbuilt hair dryer next to the mirror in the bathroom. Room was extremely clean and the location is perfect. View from my room was amazing. Yes this hotel needs some refurbishment and seems a little dated but they charge accordingly and it’s the best value for money.

The location of the hotel is by the sea, you can see the sea view, the room gives me a part of the sea view, and the other part of the view is overlooking the Presidential Palace and the Ministry of Defense, which is very characteristic. Due to the attacks in April in the first half of the year, the hotel security is very strict, and security checks are required to enter the hotel. The suites are large and have spacious balconies accessible from the rooms and bedrooms. The bathroom is also very spacious. The typical Shangri-La decoration style, simple and elegant, low-key luxury. Executive lounge horizon is on the top floor, the food and service are amazing, and the scenery is unbeatable. It is very pleasant to take a break and watch the Indian Ocean. In the morning, you can go to the beach for jogging or walking, you will often miss the South Asian style.

I just stayed one night with my parents personally after we finished the group tour in Sri Lanka. Although I had problem while checking in because of Trip.com branch office, I had a wonderful time in this hotel. The facility is nice and elegant and the staffs are very polite and friendly, especially Mr. Prasad who is an assistant chief concierge. He is very warm and approachable and so willing to help his customers. He proactively offered his helps and informations which we needed at that time essentially and shared his perosnal experiences with his customers. We really enjoyed the stay in this hotel because of him and I really want to recommned this hotel to anyone who is planning to travel to Colombo because of him. I's really like to thank Mr. Prasad through this chance again. You are the jewel of the hotel and gave me a very good impression on this hotel!

As the hotel restaurant had been bombed last April,2019, the services area has not been resumed yet so It is troublesome for the breakfast to the Courtyard with the limited space and not big variety of foods as before. I did try to have one Sri-Lanka dinner in the outside of the Courtyard in open area, It served local cousins with small scale of foods but did have some local traditional music playing with the drums. Overall, It is required time to maintain the previous atmosphere and the Travllers as I views that is only 50% as compared to the early 2019. Everything is slow in the moment. Will come back later this year to have a look again.

The front desk and staff were generally kind. However, unlike Japanese hotels, the amenities did not have a toothbrush or shaving, and there were no slippers in the room, so Japanese travelers should be careful. We used it because we took it on board. Then, what happened on the day I forgot the chip was not clear whether it was intentional or forgotten, but the desk lamp had fallen down and there was no bath towel. There were many kinds of buffet for breakfast and it was delicious. However, when I asked for coffee, I was surprised to get a cup that seems to be unused from another table and follow me. I didn't use the other restaurants in the hotel, so I don't know, but there was no supermarket or snack shop nearby so I booked breakfast and was right. I've tried walking around the neighborhood, but it's better to think that walking on foot is impossible because of the large amount of cars, the narrow sidewalks and the poor air quality.

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights at the start of our travels around Sri Lanka. The rooms are clean with TV, WiFi & your own bathroom. It is situated in a busy market district which is full of life, smells, colour and walking distance from the street food area of “Aluth Kade” The staff where helpful and friendly and any issues (The WiFi was playing up) we’re sorted promptly. The only negative is because it is next to a mosque you may be woken by the call to prayer @5am or his doesn’t last long tho. The owners are working hard and really trying to improve the facility so from the outside and some of the inside there is evidence of building work, but don’t let this put you off. Overall this is a great option, ok it isn’t the Hilton or the Shangri-La but an excellent choice, if you enjoy the culture and vibrancy of exploring a new city, especially if you’re working to a budget. We would have no hesitation in staying here again

The first time I stayed, I really like it. #128077;, his family's wash basin has embolism, which is too necessary for a sweat-loving traveler. There is no Marino Beach Hotel across the road (I have finally used the dry washing powder in the red bottle), another good, glass balcony with super clean inside and armrests. (Marino Hotel has no way to dry clothes on the glass, I saw the photo on the balcony of the house. I also specifically asked the waiter that the glass would be wiped. The waiter was really nice and smiled. When we went out on the 1st, it rained and worried that the clothes were wet, and we found that the waiter had already hanged the clothes inside when they were hygienic. Leave the memory of the curtain. It is also good to have a spotlight on the bed with multiple lights. Breakfast is not booked, but his family's dinner is also really praised, the price is not small, the environment is praised, the first time I ordered 4 dishes and one soup, two people can't eat pizza package, tax included 6仠many. The next day, the pizza will be packed, and they will be heated and ordered two dishes and one soup, or left, 😊 Because Yushen’s swimming pool is useless, it’s a pity! I will book this home next time! Friendly reminder, you need to prepare a set of plastic clips for the line card when you go out for a trip. When I was living in Marino, I also used a special rope for drying clothes.

The Western breakfast was great. I could eat it every day. The room was clean, but there was a problem with the door lock design. After entering the room, I had to use a mobile phone to light and light to lock the door! Very inconvenient! The room was very noisy on the street the first night, it was much better to change into it later!

Been to Sri Lanka many times and am very familiar with the capital Colombo. Jetwing Seven is staying for the first time. It is located in the 3rd district of Colombo, not far from various places, and it is very convenient to travel. Opposite is a shop, which is open until 11 pm. It is more convenient to buy daily necessities, drinks and fruits. In addition, the hotel environment is good, very quiet, and the service is very warm. Breakfast is Western style + local, because I am often abroad and love curry, I think the breakfast is good. There is a swimming pool and gym on the roof, elegant environment, and a bar on the roof overlooking the city of Colombo.

Very decent price with clean room and bed and shower! Veey friendly and helpful and kind staff. Im a solo woman and felt safe despite the slow season. Its simple and basic but the staff upgraged my simple, small window room to an ocean view after i asked and they allowed me a late checkout at the time i needed. They called my airport driver and confirmed pick up. I would suggest skipping breakfast as there are alot of places to eat a short walk away. They only thing was that its sort of down a side alley street that i wouldnt walk again at night. Pay the tuktuk or walk around the long way, the street is poorly lit and i ran into difficult men in 100m walk to the main road. Other than the the hotel is fine and a reasonable price. In the process of changing its name in trip advisor. Now called Ocean Breeze.

It should be a two-bedroom suite, then a kitchen, a large living room, very clean and tidy elevators to swipe to reach the floor, so it is very safe, the hotel's breakfast is also very rich, the service staff's attitude is also very good, The swimming pool is superb, the background is the Lotus Tower built by China. The night scene is very beautiful. There are many birds swimming during the day. From above, I feel that it is very well integrated with nature. There are two supermarkets nearby. I bought some shrimps and vegetables, made a meal in the kitchen, and comforted the Chinese stomach that was tortured in curry for nine days in Sri Lanka.

A small hotel near to sea, located in a good place. There is a mall and a food store near to the hotel (less than 1 km). It was my third time there without problems. The breakfast could be improved, but it is enough. People service were friendly and they were disposed to serve always. I recomended this place because it is clean and has a good price-quality ratio.

The rooms are spacious, and very clean. The neighbourhood is quiet and upscale. The staff are helpful and very friendly. I like this place. I will come again. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted. They let me put my champagne in their fridge. I didn’t have to go out to eat, there is room service from the restaurant next door, Pure Kitchen, and the food is outstanding. But what stands out the most about this hotel is that the rooms are immaculate

We stayed at Rococo residence for 4 nights . We were really impressed by the size of the two bedroom apartments, which were well equipped and nicely furnished. They also included a washing machine which was very useful as we were getting towards the end of our holiday. There is a fabulous roof top area with small swimming pool, that offers amazing views of the city. Location wise it doesn't get much better, you are literally minutes away from all of Colombo's top restaurants and hotels and shopping outlets. 10 minute walk from the new Colombo city mall. As you are in the centre of the city, you do find that you hear quite a lot of traffic, horns sirens especially if you are sleeping in a room that faces the main road. If you are a light sleeper be sure to sleep In a room away from the main road. Would advise against taking the breakfast which was disappointing. All in all good place for a few days in Colombo. Lovely staff in security , house keeping and on the front desk, extremely helpful and courteous.

Rooms are classy even though the hotel it self looks quite small, stunning customer service and really friendly staff. Location is excellent as it is actually in the heart of Colombo as they say and has many shopping centers and popular restaurants within walking distance (Gallery Cafe, Marino Mall, Pastamania, Acropol +++). The rooftop is also great, it is just 'the' place to chill in kolpitiya. Hope to go back again !!

As a solo female traveler I was looking for a comfortable place to stay in Colombo. Ocean Front organized my airport pick up, took exceptional care of me while I stayed at the hotel, and helped organize my transportation to my next destination at a great price. The staff were so sweet and attentive. I always felt safe and comfortable. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast of string hoppers with Dahl was delicious, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and the location is very central. I’d definitely stay again if I return to Colombo. Be sure to bring ear plugs as you can hear the train. Another huge benefit is it’s one block from the grocery store (Food City) and there’s a fridge in the room. Thanks to Ocean Front for making my stay in Colombo a great one!

The room is not big but it should be there. The bed is a small single bed, three people stay, and the child has an extra bed from the beginning. The central air conditioning has good cooling effect and good shading effect. The hotel (and one in Udawalawe) is indeed the most recommended hotel on Lonely Planet! Cinnamon Group's four-star, rooftop infinity pool is awesome! Watch the sunset at the pool and the night view at the bar. Things are really not expensive in terms of cost performance. The juice is 350, plus a 10% service charge and a tax of 4%. Ctrip pre-booked special room, no breakfast around 460 yuan, very satisfied! However, the professionalism of the front desk service is not enough, saying that there is no airport bus, and there are private and non-private urban stops. Let's take a hotel for rent, it's $ 32, it's expensive. Call your own Uber! Around 2,000 rupees, the airport toll fee is 300 rupees. The shortcoming of the room is that there is always a sound of a machine jumping / running at night. Is it a rattling sound, maybe the ice maker opposite our room? The location is also good, I feel close to the main attractions, be sure to use Uber tutu, the most reasonable price. Otherwise, you must stick to the table! There are too many drivers in Colombo!

Actually we booked several rooms for a stay over on one night as we had to attend a wedding...so far the best customer care even from the entrance...not so luxurious but this is wayyyy 1000 times better than most of star class hotels..spacious rooms cleaner beddings and better bathrooms..i mean this is one of the best for budget friendly hotel..Glad that my relatives picked this place for us.. Plus point again these rooms are so freaking spacious. 😱 My rating for overall on their service and hotel 9/10 👍🏽👍🏽 will come again. I wish the room keys and doors would renovate than this so that the rooms will be much soundproof.

I came to Srilanka for official work for 1 day, checked in at around 1900 Hrs on 25th.Nov. I got a lot of horrible experiences with this hotel and some excellent services which i want to highlight. #Good part: 1. It's located at the middle of the city, best location. 2. Reception is good, i met with only one guy there, Mr. Dilsan who was very friendly and welcoming character with big smile. 3. Have their own restaurant with room services which is very fast. #Horrible Experience: 1. They allocated to me Room No: 24 (2nd floor). I opened the door but the room was completely messed up. I went back to reception immediately and mentioned it. They told me , it was a misunderstanding with housekeeping so they gave me another room.23 (2nd floor). 2. I got extra bed there even i was single but it didn't bother me that much. But there were not any towels and drinking water in my room which made me more upset. 3. Safe-box was out order and the door lock also not working properly. You have to push or pull the door hardly to lock it. Make sure that your door is locked before you leave the room. 4. Wifi Facilities is just for name only, most of the time it's not working, if it works also then it's very very slow. At last, i will like to thank this team for everything and i hope other guest will not experience this kind of horrible experience.

There is a picture of the truth, only a small building in front of the hotel, it is a good small hotel, there are a few rooms, located in the small alley. I have been to countless boutique hotels in Asia. This is a slightly better intermediate level. The main feature is that it is not very obvious. The details of the use after check-in are unremarkable. A large platform for the two royal suites, because the local temperature is too high, it is actually only used when smoking. There was no mess outside the window and there was a building under construction. There was no view, no privacy, and all the windows had to be filled with curtains. The room size is OK, clean, the bathroom is arranged reasonably, but the hot water is unstable. The restaurant is probably almost unconsumed due to the price/performance ratio. The level of the chef is generally the same. The steak declares that it is half cooked, and the serving is still a piece of dead meat. The waiter is polite but lacks enthusiasm. The price/performance ratio is not good, after all, during the Chinese New Year. This hotel may sell because it has served the history of the British and local royals, and this waiter will definitely remind you in the room presentation. In general, it is not satisfied or dissatisfied. In short, it is just a general foothold. Travelers who don’t care about prices can stay for one night.

The best part of Grand Oriental Hotel is its location...especially if you are looking at touristy places near by in Colombo and do not wish to spend too much time travelling. Uber cabs and tuk-tuk/auto's are easily available which are usually cheaper than the ones you would get off the street. However, the staff was not very well mannered, especially the reception staff at night considering we had already pre-booked the hotel for 2nights each on 2 seperate dates. the housekeeping staff is very helpful and always smiling. Restaurant staff is not very fluent in English so if you have queries about ingredients or allergies, they are most most unable to address it. Wifi is available and works well. Food quantity is fair and is clean and fresh.
