We have just returned from the Alea hotel our second year in a row. If you are thinking of booking this hotel do not hesitate they are fantastic. The rooms are very clean plenty of towel and beds always changed. Kettle cooking rings and fridge in the room. Air con worked great. The pool area is clean never a hassle to get a sun bed. Great bar serving snacks and other meals. The breakfast is great for 6 euros. Buffet serving meats cheeses cooked sausages. Bacon eggs, fruit cereal tea coffee. This is a family run hotel Nikky is very helpful and will make you stay perfect. The hotel is right in the centre of the shops restaurants but not noisy at all. Beach 10 mins walk away. Close to a little village with traditional taverns. The airport is 15 mins away 16 euros in a taxi. I booked direct with the hotel and could not complain about one thing. Thank you very much Nikky for making everything perfect. See you next year.

Booked for a last minute week from 17th October. We booked a maisonette as that is all that was available at the time. We arrived at 7.00pm & check in was quick & easy. The receptionist was very pleasant & advised of times for the bar/restaurant and breakfast. She also asked how often we would like the maid service as they are limiting contact due to COVID. I was happy with every other day with the bins emptied every day. The maisonette was on the 3rd floor which was accessible by a lift. The room was spotless, with everything looking very new, including cutlery, crockery, kitchen equipment. The bathroom was lovely with free toiletries, good quality toilet roll (a luxury!) and big fat fluffy bath sheets. I was very happy! We got our towels changed every other day and sheets changed mid week. We also got more toilet roll all week which is not typical for Greece - you generally get 2 & have to get your own after that. The fridge, kettle & hot plates were partially under the stairs to the bedroom which was a little difficult to get to but, I was never planning on cooking a 3 course (or 1 course for that matter) meal. The stairs to the bedroom were a little steep & the bedroom ceiling was shaped so my husband couldn't stand up in his side but I could on mine. I had to climb over his bed to get to my side where the 1 & only upstairs plug socket was, which I need as I have a CPAP machine. This was my only gripe. The beds were really comfortable, with good quality bedding and pillows. We both slept really well. We ate in the restaurant the 1st night & as someone who is very fussy, I struggled as the food is more restaurant than bar food. The same menu is on through the day which I think is a little too much & a basic snack bar menu would be better as would the availability of snacks such as crisps, although there is a supermarket almost next door which sells everything you would ever need including fresh meat, fruit, cheeses etc. It is not open on a Sunday though, however there was another little supermarket on the main road (turn right), run by an English lady & her Greek husband who were really helpful & told us about the buses to Rhodes Town. The bar service in the hotel was super efficient & was very clean & well priced, although I did think it lacked a little atmosphere which I think could be down to the end of a very unusual season. The pool area was spotless & due to social distancing had less beds than in a usual season. The pool was relatively small but definitely adequate with plenty of inflatables for anyone to use. The poolside showers & toilets were really nice too. The location of the hotel is in a residential area & there was a dog next door who did bark when people walked past but it didn't spoil my relaxing by the pool. From the main road, Ixia beach is approx 15 minutes walk (to the left & turn right at Gregory's / Police station cross roads) and Ialyssos is approx 20 minutes walk to the right on the main road with a good

Holiday booked in a bit of a rush following a short notice cancellation. I was mortified when I read some of the reviews prior to travelling and very much relieved when I arrived to find a spotlessly clean room. Stayed in a studio on a s/c basis. Wouldn’t dream of cooking on holiday so the equipment available was more than ample. Rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels every other day. Four clean pools and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Paid 80 euros extra for air con which is the norm for a fortnight. No issues with it, it worked well.. as did the WiFi which was free (not just in the bar but all around the hotel). Food was decent and reasonably priced. Drinks, less so - hence 4 stars rather than 5! As is standard for most hotels, they don’t allow you to bring your own food and drinks around the pool. There were 5 of us however and at 2.70 euros for a can of pop or 1.00 for a bottle of water it soon added up. There aren’t however signs plastered around the pool about this as I’d read on some reviews. I feel that some of the reviews I read are a little unfair. I’m quite hard to please and found the hotel good value for what we paid. Staff were friendly and professional and were taking covid precautions. I had worried about the owner who was made out to be a bit of a witch. I never had any direct dealings with her though did see her around a bit - she seemed perfectly pleasant! They don’t keep your passports or room keys and aren’t as possessive of the remotes as has also been suggested! The hotel is great If you like to be around a pool or are willing to drive. You see a decent amount of planes daily but 20-30 tops. They don’t wake you up and you soon get used to them. The kids actually liked guessing the airline :-) The beach is beautiful but very pebbly and not really suitable for little ones. For a sandy beach you’ll need to travel to Faliraki, Rhodes town or Tsambika. Taxis are ridiculously expensive though there are buses. Didn’t use them so can’t comment! Rio rent a car is literally on the doorstep and very good value. Kremasti is nice though quiet and very Greek. There are a few decent restaurants and prices are reasonable. It’s about a 15 min walk on ‘ okay- ish’ pavements. Trianda is about a 30 min walk away ( a bit scary at times as the pavements are pretty awful) You can find souvenir shops and a load of restaurants. Considerably more expensive than Kremasti however and a bit hit and miss on quality! It was a decent holiday on the whole. Found some little gems and had a good chilled time. Don’t let the dodgy reviews put you off but be mindful that the area is not as ‘touristy’ as you might like :-)

We spent two weeks here as a couple and really enjoyed our stay. Normally only stay on bed and breakfast basis but hard to achieve in Rhodes in the location we wanted to be in. Having said that the food and indeed drink were plentiful and there was always a choice of cuisine across all the different venues. We didn't make full use of our "all inclusive " as we like to explore a country. So we hired a car for our stay and went out to eat every other day whilst exploring the island. On the evenings we stayed at the hotel the entertainment was great although mostly tribute acts who I must say were really professional and very entertaining. A particularly great trio played at the beach a couple of days a week and they were fabulous. Would we go again, probably not, but would recommend if you want a good value family holiday.

We stayed on 31st October for 1 week, which turned out to be the last week the hotel was open for the end of season. You couldn’t tell it was closing week, the staff and service were incredible and they didn’t relax on anything. The hotel had its own app for everything! You could order your drinks to come to your sun longer, you could schedule your room clean, you could book treatments at the spa, book your space at the gym and much more!! We did use the app and it was really useful. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that had an app with as much functionality as this hotel, very forward thinking. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was very clean on arrival and was cleaned every couple of days online with COVID measures - which is actually better as I don’t think you need your room cleaning everyday on holiday. But if you did need anything on your non-cleaning days you could request it in the app i.e. towel change, extra toilet roll, shower gels etc.. Super comfy beds! The hotel itself was quiet, closing week or COVID I’m not sure. But that was amazing as it meant we had lots of space and not too many people around. The weather was also excellent and sunny every day. The safety measures put in place to be COVID secure were great. Hand sanitiser around the hotel, on your table in the restaurant and a complimentary bottle and some masks in your room on arrival. The restaurant was counter service by the staff instead of help yourself, this again was much better. The staff were knowledgeable on the food and their English was excellent to explain what the foods were (and also what you were asking for). I enjoyed going to the restaurant each morning and evening as the staff were lovely. I think I spent more time talking to the staff than sat eating with my boyfriend ;) It was my birthday whilst we were there, so I made a stack of Nutella and banana pancakes from the buffet foods. There was such a variety of food every day and something for everyone. Most mornings I had an omelette made by the chef, his omelettes were delicious. We hired a car from the hotel and visited a few places around the island. We also did lots of walking and running. The weather was great for the first week of November so tshirt and shorts every day. I also had a full body massage and facial at the hotel spa, my therapist (Anastasia) was fabulous! After a week in the sun she repaired my skin. We had a really enjoyable stay and felt that we were 100% looked after. I would recommend this hotel to couple, families or anyone travelling on their own. Thank you Apostolos and your incredible team.

We visited 14 to 21 October during these very difficult and strange times due to covid. We had 2 family members travelling with us who had been moved to another hotel under a week before travel by Jet2 due to an overbooking on the hotel which luckily they managed to transfer to here after a few days. The transfer was around 1 hour 20 with a few drops. Well once we arrived at the hotel it felt like what we had left in England was a distant dream that you wouldn’t want to repeat. Sanitizer at entrance and dinning areas and toilets etc, face coverings optional. We always carried our own sanitizer too. All staff in suitable PPE and no problem really with social distancing. Our room wasn’t exactly what we had booked as we visited last October and had an upgrade to a pool view room so decided we would upgrade this year to a sunny sea view room which unfortunately looked through trees and was above the delivery area which was quite noisy. We upgraded the following day to a family room with a sea view ( Thankyou for the advice from the concierge). Amazing room with amazing views... will be rebooking this room next year hopefully. Food was lovely my only disappointment is that I never seen more Greek dishes. When you have 3 Italians in your company and they say the meat and food is perfect... then you know your in the right place. Yes breakfast times could be manic with distancing but that is not the fault of the hotel. We just got up earlier especially for the omelettes. Desserts were amazing along with the fruits too. Hard to get a table outside on an evening to watch singers but we always managed to find a seat inside. We are not big drinkers but we enjoyed the wine and love a rum and coke at night so if you don’t mind paying you can always go to the VIP bar at the Moonlight restaurant and have a branded drink which we did after a few days. Service was professional and friendly. Our daughter loved her hot chocolate. Lindos by boat I would highly recommend and they do stop at the hotel beach regardless of what the other boat trip guy says. Lindos beach is beautiful and a fabulous taverna “Kefele “ serves beautiful homemade fresh food with friendly Greek hospitality. Rhodes Town is lovely but a long bus journey. It was our family members first visit to the hotel and they loved it. Thankyou again and we hope to see you again soon. Efcharisto poly

No complaints whatsoever about this hotel. Everything has been great. The pool area is nice, large pool with a smaller pool for little ones. Quiet chilled place. Very clean. Owners can’t do enough to accommodate. We had a 2 bedroom apt so had 2 balconies, fridge freezer which is obviously a godsend in 30° heat. Small kitchen area but we didn’t use this as ate out at night. Reasonable priced drinks and food at the bar. If we come back to Rhodes, this hotel would definitely be on the list of places to come again. Thank you for a great stay. We’ve had a nice relaxed family holiday.

We had chosen our holiday based on the description / Tripadvisor Reviews for Hotel "Nathalie". We got that RIGHT! Had we chosen our hol based on Ixia, well then a different ending! "Nathalie" is a little paradise amid a scene of desolation. Too strong? possibly, but it is NOT a pleasant experience. FORTUNATELY, Nathalie makes up for the downside. Simply a wonderful place in which to retire from the 'world we know'. Our little peace of heaven was the outside bar extension. A green arbour of tranquility. Only the infrequent passing vehicle to break the quietness. BLISS! Not often do you get such a pleasant atmosphere. The blend of nice people - guests, staff and management - contributed to the feeling of wellbeing here. Reception was outstanding. Any form of help was freely given throughout the days. Even the 'loss' of our deposit key was dealt with courtiously, and when located (within the linings of a hand bag!!!!) we could ALL enjoy the stupidity of the situation Failing memory (and the Tripadvisor loss of an earlier review!) have conspired to us not recalling all names of staff, but 'Miss Oz' and her friend in 'management' gave us endless fun and assistance. Kevin at the Bar provided the 'liquid fuel' necessary to get us through the days and Maria the 'solid fuel' to sustain and delight the tummies. MARVELLOUS! The building is perfectly formed. Not too large, but space for everyone / thing. The new lift, so necessary for one of us with a walking problem, was a 'lifesaver'. Bedrooms are good. Super bed, somewhere to 'file' everything, an excellent bathroom, and if lucky to get Room 102, A TELLY!!!!!!! Luxury. Poolside could be a minor problem. That old problem of fellow guests being greedy with sunbed reservations caused distress to some. WHEN will management implement the threats to remove reservation junk? It really IS EASY. Confiscate it!! If you lose a guest or two, tough! you dont need that sort of thoughtless guest anyway. BE BRAVE. It IS your responsibility. NOT that of guests. This two star hotel is better that the 'marking'. It is a deilght to visit and one to savour. We CERTAINLY are. And finally, more on the food. Breakfast taking is a 'skill' at Nathalie! Timing is EVERYTHING. Due to the somewhat haphazard cooking agenda, hot food comes when you are least expecting it. This adds to the interest. Cereals, cakes, yoghurt, fruit, bread rolls and honey may have to be taken 'out of order' to ensure you are ready for the hot dish. Be prepared!! Maria is a 'gem'. Lunchtime is a time to look forward to here. Her recipes, together with the quality of ingredients are superlative. Alas, we found this could seriously inhibit evening dinner, but sacrifices HAVE to be made, so - ENJOY THOSE LUNCHES!!

We have returned from The Garden Hotel after spending 2 weeks there. We were only 4 days later in the season this year but managed to miss out on all the entertainment apart from Mike's bingo and quiz, which is always good fun and well attended. We were disappointed as there had been a full programme of various entertainment most nights in the previous two years. Shame as there were still quite a lot of guests there who would probably have joined in if given the opportunity. Babis works so hard and has many stories to tell. Steve and Mikaela brilliantly managed the bar. George is quiet but he is also helpful in times of crisis and manages the running of the hotel. Steve the gardener is the man for any job around , he is a Jack of all trades and works long hours. So do the cleaners especially Sabeka Katerina ( not sure of spelling) she doesn't speak much English but we got to understand her by playing 'Charades'. She gave me a rose one morning ~ how sweet is that? Beds are still uncomfortable but we overcame that by using the blanket folded under the sheet, it does work. However I do think that these and the showers could be updated as they are looking well used and tired looking. A few changes could get this fantastic hotel even better star ratings.

You can’t beat this wonderful island, hotel and staff. It’s a great hotel and location if you like a relaxing time. It’s not over crowded and you don’t have to fight for sun beds. The beach is beautiful and looks out over the Aegean Sea. The rooms and pool at modern and very clean. The flight path of Rhodes airport is more of a fascination than problem. Greek night is great especially if you have a go yourself.. great for embarrassing the kids!! The water park is across the road, is really good fun and value. Food is simple but caters for all and there are some great restaurants a short walk away. We totally recommend this hotel.

Recently got back from a weeks holiday at the Dionysos Hotel.Had a lovely time in the spotlessly clean hotel. The pool area was fantastic with plenty of beds available. The lobby bar was nice and relaxing any time of day/night.Thanks to Christos for looking after us(very hard working waiter).A special thank you to Banos who worked the pool bar.Very helpful and had good chats/banter. Our room(538) was very spacious and had a large balcony.Housekeeping was excellent. The stairway in the block was very dark and could be a bit dangerous for people who didn’t want to use the lift. Breakfast was ok considering the changes due to Covid.Cooked breakfast wasn’t very warm.Everything was brought out at the same time so just piled up the table(there were 6 of us).But as I say,ok considering the changes. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel(we ate at one on the first night)the food was really nice and reasonably priced. A few nice restaurants in walking distance and quite a few sports bars.We went to Rhodes old town a couple of nights(10 mins in Taxi 8-11 Euros)which is much nicer/livelier(although not as lively as without Covid). We would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Everything about this apartment is fantastic; it was immaculate when we arrived, extremely comfortable mattresses and more space than expected - perfect for families. The owners Manolis and Mary are not only friendly, caring and kind but also extremely professional and accommodating. It was a pleasure to find all necessities were provided: towels, shampoo, shower gel, extra pillows & blankets. Our family agrees it is comparable with the large, 5-star hotel we stayed at in downtown Rhodes. It’s also down the street from the action in Ialysos. Definitely found our new home next time we come to Rhodes ! -Giana

We are on the last day of a 3 week stay at this hotel, booked last minute after everything else this year had cancelled. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and had good Covid measures in place with all staff wearing masks and gloves. The restaurant staff had full ppe on you were served from the buffet rather than helping yourself. Yes this sometimes meant you had to queue to be seated or served, but never for very long & I would much rather do that and feel safe. The food was okay, we were staying all inclusive but did mix it up with eating out sometimes and to be fair we hadn’t paid all inclusive prices, compared to holidays in the past, so overall thought it was good value. Some of the bars and the al la carte restaurant were closed due to Covid but there was always a menu to choose from with 3 main options on if you didn’t fancy the buffet. What did however make the holiday was the staff, every person you saw said hello, the waiters were chatty and the maitre d was there morning and night ensuring everyone was seated. You also saw the hospitality manager Yannis regularly helping out both in the restaurant and the pool snack bar. The cleaners were thorough with bedding changed everyday and requests for extra pillows were speedily addressed. The girls in the Lounge bar were great, always pleased to see you and they soon knew what drinks we liked and had them ready as we approached. We must however call out Vasilis on reception, he went out of his way to make our holiday special, doing a few things without request. He always had time for a chat and helped when we needed tickets and health declarations printing so we could island hop on the ferry. He is a real credit and an asset to the hotel and we can understand why he has worked here for 15 years . Rhodes is not somewhere we have visited before, if we were to revisit we would definitely consider this hotel again. A great holiday in difficult times thanks to all the staff for making it enjoyable.

We first visited this hotel in June 2019. We had a room on the Ground floor with the private pool. From the first moment we felt like home as the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was luxurious very spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable and huge. Having a room with our own private pool was just brilliant to the point that we didn't really go anywhere just spent a week chilled out we didn't really have to go anywhere as we had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay that much that we booked to return on the 5th August this year again at the same place in the same room. This year was different. Quiet but beautiful. Not a lot of people because of the pandemic, but we really enjoyed everything again. The manager of the Hotel was there all the day and cares about everything. Like last year. Working very hard but the results of her job were really excellent. The most important, we felt safe. The hotel has done a good job adapting to required COVID procedures. Disinfectant dispensers available everywhere and all staff wear masks. Only one note. The owner has to be care more for the building. Need a bit renovation. For sure we'll come back again next year. Thank you for everything.

Wow! What a holiday. We stayed in the suites side of the Ixian Grand and it was amazing. Our own restaurant for breakfast with a view of the sea. This suite only restaurant also had a 4 course dinner menu which we were allowed to attend unlimited times. Amazing. Our room was great, had its own swimming Pool. Only downfall in the room would be that it didn't have a long mirror. We ate in all four restaurants and the 7 course seafood restaurant was amazing. Could not fault the food here one bit. The swimming pool for everyone was huge and never packed, always easy to get a sunbed round the pool too. We visited the water park which was great. Evening entertainment was not great, it really would be an amazing hotel if the entertainment was to improve. We did speak to some people who stayed in the hotel and not the suites and it did sound like they were having a completely different holiday. So I would advise if you can afford to stay in a suite, there seems to be a lot more extras that way. Staff really friendly. Had a great holiday, Thanks Ixian Grande

We recently had a wonderful weeks holiday here, returning to Rhodes after nearly 15 years. This hotel is about 20 mins from Diagoras Airport, so not too long a Transfer time. it is in Ialyssos, a much nice resort than Ixia further up the coast, which is all huge faceless hotels. On our arrival we were welcomed by Savvas, who was a wonderful and helpful host during our week stay, helped by his lovely Mum and Dad. The Hotel is just off a large and crazy road junction - definitely use the crossings and keep your eyes peeled in all directions when you are crossing here. The Coach Transfer drops you off on this junction, so be careful when getting your cases and making your way to the hotel The Hotel is spotless, with a lovely Reception, Snack bar and lovely pool area. There is a lift which is very helpful with big cases, and after the occasional busy day. As in all Greece a small Tourist Tax of 50c a night is payable, and also extra to pay for is the Air-Con @ 45e per week - more than reasonable and well needed even in September - and also the safe which I think was approx. 15 e for the week - all standard prices for Greece, some people seem to think this should all be free, but its 2/3 star self catering not 5 star all inclusive - and certainly the prices are not exorbitant, and it is advisable to use these facilities. Our room was excellent, a fab size, twin beds- again standard for Greece, West facing Balcony - as all the rooms are, with comfy chairs and a table, and a nice view over to the Filerimos Mountain; Bathroom, small but adequate, good shower system though there was no shower tray to prevent water spreading out in to the whole bathroom, but careful usage prevented too many disasters. Towels were good, big fluffly and changed along with linen once in our weeks stay, Bins were done pretty much every day but one. Self catering is what it is, the basics, though we did have a small oven as opposed to just 2 hob rings, not that I ever cook while away, there was a toaster coffee machine kettle and basic cutlery mugs etc. enough for 2 people who only want to make drinks. Beds were comfy, plus there was a large sofa bed type of thing which was nice for lounging on. we had plenty of storage, and not to bad for plug sockets either . We did not encounter much in the way of Mosquitos on this trip, but wherever you go, we can only advocate the use of plug-in deterrents for the room and repellent coils for the Balcony. Even in mid-September, day temps were35/36c so nights were warm and sitting on the Balcony highly enjoyable, occasional noise from the busy junction, but nothing that spoiled our evenings. During the day it gets super hot on these West facing Balconies, and there is no blind or awning available to provide shade, so this may be time to make use of the lovely compact pool and sweet garden area. The Bar does all the usual drinks, Frappe Mythos etc, and there is a good choice of Snacks, Breakfast and lunches, a

Minuses - Bathroom – Shower recess blocked, toilet cistern dripping, water not hot enough for a shower. Kitchen – Old dishcloth (bought a new one), no tea towels, inside cupboard not clean, minimum cutlery, over supply of crockery, limited utensils for cooking, no microwave. Lounge area – Reception of TV programs poor, Lounge positioned on the same wall as the TV so couldn’t watch the TV Bedrooms – Large beds pushed against the wall, so difficult to make bed. Bed cover was too large for bed and couldn’t be tucked in near the wall, bed was made with one sheet over the mattress, another sheet provided for guest to place on the bed – difficult to make due to position of bed and sheet not large enough for the bed.. Mosquitoes in the room. Beware of the request for an extra 4 Euros for ‘Tax’ when paying the bill as tax was already included in our quote. Did not receive a receipt for this extra 4 Euros. Photos on internet photo shopped – didn’t reflect what was in the apartment. Garden access is through the family home – apartments not linked to garden. Staggered how they received a 9 in Trip Advisor. Would give a 5 at most. Will definitely not stay there again.

I stayed at the hotel in May. Although the season didn't kick off yet, there were already many guests staying at the hotel. However, this didn't impact comfort level - plenty of space in the dining room, loads of available sun loungers by the pool, unoccupied tables by the pool bar. Room was spacious and clean. Had a balcony with a table and 2 chairs, so you could tan without going to the pool area. Air conditioning :) What I really liked about the hotel is their eco-friendly approach - paper straws instead of plastic ones, you get a bottle of water upon arrival that you can refill with water in many places at the hotel, energy-saving in rooms. When I left, I saw on Facebook that the staff along with guests were cleaning the nearby beach and planing trees - would have been great to be a part of that! If you have a day trip planned, let the reception know - they organize a "picnic basket" for you for that day. The food ... is delicious. I read in some of the reviews that the food is bland and there's no variety ... I don't buy that. If you don't find anything you like, it's coz you didn't want to. A lot of different options, vegetarian corner, delicious pastries and snacks, ice cream, alcohol - you name it, they've got it; the kitchen staff make an effort to decorate the food area and the food itself - I actually felt bad destroying the butter station and the butter shaped like a harp :D Snack bar available between main meals. Pool bar opens at 10. Would have been great to have more "Greek nights" (all nights have themes, but I see how that caters to the different types of guests that stay at the hotel). Then again, there was yummy feta and a ton of olives on offer every day, so I wasn't complaining :) Christina at the bar - super friendly lady! Give her a raise :) The restaurant manager, Alexandros, was also amazing - positive, always greeting guests with a smile, found time to chat even when things got busy. Once he knows where you are from, he greets you in your native language :) Beach is just down the road, like 3-4 minutes away.

My husband and I have just come back from a trip to Rhodes. We stayed at Anita Aparthotel. It is a great place to stay and would thoroughly recommend it. It was very clean and friendly and the rooms cleaned every day. The apartments were well equipped and comfortable. The owners were very friendly. The pool was also very clean

My family chose this hotel because it was one of the cheapest options and it looked the nicest. I mean the hotel kind of looked like the pictures but there were some differences. When we first went into the room the key for the light wouldn't work. Keep in mind it was 3 am and we were all tiered. We had to go all the way back down to reception to get a new one. It didn't work again until we played around with the console above the switches. The bathrooms were the most modern things about the rooms as they were all marble however, it was dirty and had spiders and cobwebs. The bath plug wouldn't work either. The beds in the room were rock solid and no blankets were provided to sleep with. The doors were also very confusing to lock. We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and for 2 of those days there were dirty plates outside our rooms building. The all inclusive buffet was different because of Covid. You waited in a line and then the staff would get you what you wanted. In my opinion some of the staff were rude and gave me dirty looks when i got my food. The view of the beach was beautiful though. The food was okay, not much selection. I didn't see one person other then staff use masks once throughout the whole holiday. The mini disco guy was loud and obnoxious and almost had my ears bleeding because he was screaming through the microphone. The baby shark wasn't very much appreciated either. I wouldn't say this was a 4 star hotel maybe 3 and a half pushing it.

Jos etsit luksusta, Kassandra ei ole paikkasi. Jos etsit laatua, Kassandra on paikkasi. Perus hotelli, Suomen motelli. Huoneet ok ja saa kotoisaksi levittelemällä omat tavarat sinne. Ei kahvinkeitintä. Lomallahan harvemmin tullaan nököttämään hotellihuoneeseen, joten välttää nukkumiseen. Sängyt kovahkot, infosta lisäpatjaa pyytämällä. Hyvät allasalueet, aurinkoa voi ottaa aamusta iltaan. Hieman lentoliikenteen ääntä päivällä, yöksi rauhottuu. Henkilökunta ***** !! Varsinkin ilta aikaan. Baarimikot pitävät asiakkaistaan hyvää huolta. Suosittelen osallistumaan hotellin baarin iltamenoihin mm. karaoke. Se tuo monia kansallisuuksia yhteen. Terveisiä Georgelle ja Alexille! If you're searching luxury, Kassandra is not your place. If you're searching for quality, Kassandra is your place ;) Ordinary hotel, like Finland's motel. Rooms are ok for living and you can make them cosy by hanging your stuff around the apartment. No coffeemachine. But it's all good for sleeping your nights. Beds are a bit hard but you can ask an extra pattern from reception. Good pool area to take sun for a whole day. Some plane traffic at the day but it gets quiet for the night. Staff is ***** (five stars.) Especially in the evening and night time! Bartenders take good care about their customers. I recommend you all to take part in the hotel's events. Like Karaoke night. It brings many nationalities together. Regarsd for George and Alex !! XOXO: A

Always a bit nervous when we book an apartment we have never stayed in before. This one is a gem. Spotlessly clean, staff who are pleasant and helpful 100% of the time. The wifi is the best we have had, even in our rooms on the second floor. Supermarket 5 mins walk away and lots of restaurants to choose from. Food and drink at the bar is very well priced. Air con works well and the rooms are lovely and spacious. Happy family (2 adults, 15 yr old boy and 13 yr old girl). Thank you.

We booked a last minute trip in September, for beginning of October. I read the reviews 2 days before going and wished I hadn't, as it worried me so much. However, when we got there it was better than I expected. The reception area is lovely - all the public areas are in good condition and look nice. The hotel complex is great, there is a kids playground, water slides, a large pool, gym, sauna, beach volleyball area, and a little amphitheatre. There is a beach just on the other side of the road. It is not sandy, and the bit opposite the hotel is very slim section of beach, but if you walk 2 minutes up the road there is wider area where you can get sun loungers and sunbathe if you wanted to. The hotel is in a good location. It is on a flight path, but after a while you barely notice the planes going in and out and they do not ruin the holiday at all. Kremasti is a 10 minute walk away, and there is nice little church to visit and a few cafes. There is a bus stop on the main road about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel that takes you directly into Rhodes town, and runs until late at night. If you miss the bus, or want a taxi, the taxi cost us 17 euro. We had a swim up room, which was round the back close to reception. We had a corner room, which was right up against the wall. However, we never swam in it, as the bit where we were had pigeons flying round so there was a lot of bird faeces around. If that wasn't there I would've swam in it. The tiles in the swim up pool look like they had been painted over, but the pain was peeling off which made them look a bit rough round the edges, but if the paint was to be taken off it would look much better - the tiles underneath looked fine. I would definitely try and get a swim up room that looks onto the main pool, as they are much nicer, and look more like the pictures used to advertise these rooms. Our room was fine. The bed we had was actually comfortable. The bedroom was clean and tidy. We had everything we needed in there. The only down point about the room was the shower. The wood looks like it would have been a good idea, but I don't know if the wood was treated properly or not, but with the water, it was started to rot and smell a bit damp after the shower was used, but other than that our room was perfectly fine. There is only 1 restaurant. The food served was good, but it was never hot, always a bit warm. They did different theme nights which was good and there was always a good selection. The salads, desert and fruit selection was great. Also we travelled with my 3 year old son, and there wasn't much he would eat. I think a little kids section, with things like chicken nuggets, sausages and other finger foods, to the buffet would have been great. Other than that it was fine and always plenty to eat, as it was topped up regularly. However, the one thing that is absolutely outstanding about the hotel is the staff and then entertainment. The bar staff were fantastic, and my little

Our family visited on the 27/08/19 and we stayed for 1 week, wish it had been for 2! I dont normally write reviews but I felt I needed to after seeing previous comments about this hotel.. After reading the horror filled reviews before we went on this holiday we was aprihensive about going. But we went with an open mind and had an absolute blast! On arrival at checkin the lady was very polite and helpful and always happy to help. Our apartment in the main building was clean but very basic. (216) But in all honesty it was only there to sleep, shower and get changed in. Great sized balcony overlooking one of the pools. The grounds and pools are lovely and my son enjoyed the water polo games and water zumba that took place daily. The water park next door was great fun, the downside was that you paid separate for that dispite being all inclusive. 10€ adults 5€ kids. The food and desserts were really lovely, plenty of choice over our stay and always left feeling full. All the staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. Even going out their way to provide a birthday cake for my sons birthday on the Saturday which made his day! Probably one of the best cakes we have ever had! Thankyou!! We had a great holiday and plan to go back again next year.

We booked to stay at the Barbie Studios relatively last minute and chose this mainly based on the positive Trip Advisor ratings. Overall this place offers great value for money, especially as we also had a free child place included. The rooms are basic but are kept clean. We’ve had some kind of housekeeping service everyday and our bed sheets were always straightened up. Sheets and towels have been replaced as needed. The only slight downside to paying for a budget apartment is the necessary extras that are not included, such as air con (50 euros) and a safe (20 euros). The pool area is brilliant. We’ve ended up staying here most days as the beach is too pebbly for our 4-year old. The child’s pool is perfect for her and the general area is always clean and well maintained. Plenty of sun beds are always available. The on-site bar has a broad selection of drinks and branded ice creams. We’ve eaten at the on-site restaurant a few times mainly for breakfast or a lunchtime snack. I cannot fault the food in terms of quality, portion sizes and again value for money. The owners are always present and work hard between reception and the bar/restaurant area. Always very friendly and welcoming. In terms of distance to the main resort, this is less than a 5 minute walk making the Barbie an ideal location. There is a large supermarket on the corner and then an array of restaurants, bars and shops. Even though it’s peak season here Covid-19 clearly has affected the local trade and although there are still lots of people about you can tell it’s not the same as a normal season. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time at both the Barbie and Ialysos and would happily return again.

We booked one night here at the last minute when our flight was changed to an evening flight, so that we would have somewhere close to the airport, to relax and shower at on the last day. The warmest of welcomes on our arrival at reception to check in and get an airport taxi booked, then promptly on to our room. The room was fine for our needs - clean and bright with a balcony and effective air con fan. The pool area is in a beautiful setting with trees all around as far as you can see and a welcome breeze. Comfortable loungers spaced out well for social distancing and a table for each pair. Well stocked bar to get drinks from. The bathroom is a little dated in style and condition, but, it was clean with a great power shower with piping hot water and that's the main thing. 10 min taxi ride to the airport. A great little find.

Stayed here for 1 week self catering and couldn’t complain! Hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided and we also had electric shutters for the windows which made it feel very secure. I did find the beds to be really firm and would have preferred a softer mattress for my liking. We purchase the air con for the room which was great as the temperature was around 30 degrees or more each day, would recommend this plus it wasn’t expensive. The room had a lovely view across the garden area. The pool area was well maintained and clean with plenty of beds available. The hotel was only a couple of minutes walk to the nearest bars and restaurants and about 10 minutes to the beach. Well recommended!

Stayed here for a week in September and had a brilliant holiday from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to everything, the barmen would start to remember your orders after a while and all waiters/waitresses in the restaurants were lovely - despite working extremely long hours. Rooms were clean and comfortable, pool area lovely (never struggled to get a sunbed which is good!) and the cocktails were really nice. Beach was rather pebbly, but other than that the sunbeds along the beach were comfortable too, and the sea is beautiful (there is a slight dip in the seabed so part of it is rather deep, but once you're past this bit, you can stand up and walk around in the sea). I really liked the fact that both a-la carte restaurants are open at lunch time for guests to enjoy rather than just the buffet restaurant. The greek poolside a-la carte is delicious - recommend a gyros!!! Only thing I would suggest that the hotel could improve on would be the evening entertainment as it was quite poor. The idea of the quizzes were great, but could have been carried out a bit better, that's all. Another point; this hotel is right under the flight path so expect noise especially in peak times - didn't spoil our holiday at all, and we will definitely be returning to this hotel if we choose to visit Rhodes again. Thank you.

After many years of staying in Rhodes Town late October, we booked Sun Beach Resort due to our usual hotel closing early season. The hotel is superb, made even better with some of the best staff you’ll find in any hotel. They all go the extra mile - from reception, waiters, bar staff, animation and cleaners. The Greeks are known for their hospitality...but this staff team exceed all expectations! Our room (0501) was absolutely stunning with beautiful sea views. The room was spotlessly clean, and contained a kitchen area with toaster, kettle and coffee machine, a hairdryer and an iron. We stayed HB and found plenty of choice with the meals (plenty of vegetarian and gluten free too). It’s the biggest hotel that we’ve stayed in. Set over three hotels with several bars, places to eat and each block having its own pool area. There is also a gym, spa and car hire. We used the latter, and took a small car to Rhodes Town and several beautiful beaches like Anthony Quinn Bay and Tsampika Bay. Lalyssos isn’t Rhodes Town! But it is friendly and welcoming with many bars and restaurants. Walk past the tourist places and you’ll come to the small town centre. Visit the beautiful church just past the square and wander through the little streets where elderly locals will stop and chat to you. We had some great food in town. My husband enjoyed the gyros at a local place opposite the police station, and we used the bakery several times. Fantastic Greek pies! Sun Beach Resort is right on a pebble beach. The sea was often calm and we swam several times...even on our last day which was 2nd November. This hotel has everything you need, and the staff will ensure that you have a fantastic stay.

Start with the best. The entertainment team were the best we’ve ever come across on holiday. We’ve never joined in as many activities on any of our previous holidays! Even if you don’t join in they still make time to engage with you. They may even join in a game of Uno with you ! Congratulations to Talia, Ria, Jo, Big T, Tahnee, Nuala & Myky. From Yorkshire mum & dad & family. The management team need to pull out all the stops to get them back next season because the overwhelming theme of praise on here is about them. The pool area is very good with a great shaped main pool & pool bar. A lovely relaxing lazy river, although it isn’t really big it was something different. We liked to sunbathe around this area. Just to the side of it was a ( Helter skelter) type water slide. And then at the opposite side of the main pool a lovely area for children with play equipment and two pools. There’s a long strip of grassed area between the pool & the pebble beach, both of which have plenty of sun beds. When we arrived late at night at the hotel we were impressed with the warm welcome from the staff & thought the communal areas were modern & pleasing on the eye. Unfortunately some of the leather sofas have been damaged which is a shame. We went upto the bar area Got a drink & some pizza & went out onto the pretty balcony to relax after the journey. The pool areas below are all lit up with coloured lighting at night, so pretty. And so to the rooms. Unfortunately this was One of the two disappointing parts of the holiday. We’d booked 2 family rooms & one, one bedroom room ( only because there wasn’t 3 family rooms with sea views available). The family rooms are more modern than the one bedroom types. But all three rooms had minor issues that could easily be addressed to improve your first impression. I.e. paintwork refreshed. Broken light switches replaced. Shower heads actually fitting onto the rail as it’s supposed too. The rooms are comfortable and adequate for purpose with good views if you get the right ones. But this is advertised as a 4 star hotel and standards need to be kept up ! We enjoyed the whole dining experience, the restaurant has a lovely outside eating area that we preferred to use. The staff were friendly & efficient. We thought the food was quite varied and we all enjoyed what was on offer. It was replenished frequently and reasonably hot for buffet food. We liked the fact that there was fresh fruit available at breakfast time, not just tinned. Also there is an area to the right of where the drinks are situated in the restaurant where you can get omelettes & waffles from. This is also where you can get late afternoon snacks from. There was themed nights also. Plenty of meat or fish dishes, and vegetarian choices too. The staff at the pool bar work exceptionally hard, but were always smiling & jovial. You can have wine, lager, soft drinks or hot drinks served here from 10am. Cocktails & shorts are served from 2pm. This is

To award this hotel a 2 star rating would be generous. It looks like a drab 1970's 'Eastern Block' building. The hotel is shabby, the grounds are not well maintained. The children's playground is dreadful and the equipment is rusty on a dusty bare earth surface. The main bar open from 6pm is most uninviting and the seating area is drab. The pool bar has park benches with peeling paint. The beach bar is shut and doesn't look as if it has been open for years it is just used for storing beach cushions at night. The food is dreadful. Little variety and of poor quality. The hot food is tepid or cold. No whole fresh fruit, mainly tinned in syrup. The restaurant is like a works canteen. There is no table service and you have to queue for everything which runs out frequently. We ate out every night at the local restaurants which were excellent and served traditional food, but annoying as we had paid a lot of money for 'all inclusive'. An added feature was the dead cockroach in the closed down supermarket display cabinet just near the restaurant! Overall everything seemed to be skimped to save money. During our stay we spoke to the only 3 other British couples who also made other similar remarks and all said the Dodeca was in no way a 4star hotel. (The hotel itself has 5 star on its boards and WiFi) A complete joke. Doesn't Greece have a Trades Description Act? If it does they have most certainly violated it. I could go on .............
