The room is large and the front desk service is very good. Due to language problems, communication is a bit inconvenient. The front desk directly asks colleagues who understand Chinese to help communicate. It is convenient to travel, but the meals in the executive lounge are too simple. There is almost no change in the breakfast and evening snacks for three days.

Lovely hotel, in a great location, good access for the city, comfortable with great communal spaces. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, 2 people of note to mention The guy behind the bar is brilliant, knowledgable, friendly and funny, a real pleasure. There is a (really) young lady on reception/check-in, she is lovely and I don't want to knock her, but she needs more training, her default is to say no to everything, not because she is being difficult, I just don't think she has the knowledge or authority to find solutions. It makes it frustrating for me as the customer and I'm sure, for her, trying to deal with people and not resolving issues. It makes you avoid her and wait for someone else to deal with. The Concierge and Valet Parking staff were brilliant, took away all the thinking on parking and restaurants etc. We would definitely stay here again if in San Fransisco

I had a fantastic time at this hotel. I booked a fairmont exterior king room with a view. The room itself was nice but what I really liked was the walk in wardrobe and luxurious marble bathroom with his and hers sinks. Breakfast at the hotel and dinner in the Tonga room was also really good. Customer Service was top dollar. The only criticisms I would have are that:- 1) There was only one functioning lift from the main foyer to hotel rooms, 2) upon checking in a hold fee of $100 per night is placed on your debit/ credit card (only returnable 5-7 days after departure) and 3) some of the meals were overpriced, I was charged approx $55 for a medium sized pizza and bottle of water on one night. Overall, enjoyed my stay and would return.

Location of the hotel is good. As told, left side of the hotel is more safe than the right side as there are not many homeless people on the left side. The hotel provides daily cleaning and refills bath amenities automatically. The air conditioning is quite cool but can be adjusted, nevertheless, the blanket is not thick enough which slightly affected sleeping quality.

We chose this hotel because of the location for getting to the trolley, a Hop-on Hop-off tour stop, the local bus system, and the nearby BART system. For this it did not disappoint. The price is reasonable, and the hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. From this, I digress. The noise level during the nights, was that a very loud level. All from external. Sirens, music, loud cars and trucks going by, garbage trucks in the middle of the night, quite a bit of yelling, and the like. Normal ear plugs did not help. If you stay here, you will need some heavy duty ear plugs. We get up earlier and the hotel lobby coffee was not ready ever before 7:00 a.m. there is coffee in the room, however if you need real creamer, you'll be out of luck until 7:00 approximately. Not a terrible review, just want people to be aware.

The front desk staff (Ben & Daimler) greeted me with HUGE smiles after a long flight. They offered me a much needed quiet room and even upgraded me to a beautiful suite. Complimentary wine tasting was going on in the lobby with live music. My room was beautiful and very clean. After unpacking, I realized I forgot toothpaste. I went downstairs on my way to dinner and asked the front desk if they had any extras, they brought it to my room along with an extra toothbrush while I was gone (amazing!). Great location. Walkable to so many restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

When we reached hotel, we were informed to pay destination fee of USD25 (excl tax) per day, you may use it to make purchases in hotel. Need to request for kettle n bedroom slippers n etc. The shower tap was so confusing to use. The toiletries was not check n refill (eg: no conditioner at day 3). There is only 1 toilet roll, no spare one. The phone can only use with speaker, cannot use receiver cos there is no cord. The service is below expectation for a reputable hotel like Westin n destination fees is really a surprised.

Stayed two nights. The hotel is located near Union Square, and the location is very convenient. You can take tram as soon as you go out. There are many famous brand shops and shopping malls nearby. The location is superb. However, the content of the hotel may be a long time ago, except that it is very small and outdated. You absolutely don't dare to step on the slippers, and you ca n’t imagine the dirty. Other equipment can be clean, but for the convenience of transportation, it is also possible to endure a night or two.

I used to be a frequent guest at the W SF back when it was Starwood but had not visited since Marriott took over the W Brand. I did try and stay last year but before arriving I read that the restaurant was closed and I asked the hotel what they were doing as an alternative, but they had absolutely nothing for Platinum Breakfast (other than 1k points per stay which is a HUGE downgrade), so I opted for another hotel. I had high expectations for this stay as I had previously loved this hotel, but as a frequent traveler in Marriott brands and having one of their Highest Elite traveler statuses (and staying at W Brands lately), I knew service levels were still suffering post pandemic. Unfortunately, it started low right from the beginning. I had confirmed a Studio Suite in advance. When I arrived, I was given a corner room that almost seemed smaller than standard rooms (Room 2109). I inquired about upgrades to larger rooms, and I was told no, because it was a busy weekend, and nothing would be available. I checked on the app and saw that every room type was available for the length of my stay and beyond. I was basically DOWNGRADED. Once settling into the room, then I realized the major issues. Smaller rooms should be easier to clean, right? Well, this one not only had carpet stains, but I quickly found out that the ”Marriott Commitment to Clean” was actually a Commitment to Ignore. Not only were their stains on the carpet and dust and dirt in the windowsills, I found a previous guest's room keys sitting on the counter. Obviously, the room was just ”re-set” and not inspected or cleaned at all. I guess the promised sanitizing was out of the question. We then went to get some ice and noticed that the ice bucket was half filled with standing water. It was disgusting! Thats not the worst part, I then found a pair of women's ”play-style” lingerie slightly soiled sitting on the floor by the sofa. I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the Front Desk, but the representative simply stared at me and then asked if there was anything else I needed? I should have been a bit more insistent that they take it down, but I was so shocked I did not. The room setup, although smaller than what I wanted and pre-confirmed, was also not great. There is no storage at all other than the closet. There are no drawers at all or other places to keep clothes or anything else. If you have two suitcases, you are going to have to keep them out as there is no place to put them in the closet. Other than the Front Desk and Room Condition, we had a nice stay, although the Room is really what we paid for. The rest of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff were great, and the food was amazing! Kudos for them for sure! Actually, the only place I was every recognized or thanked for being a Marriott Elite was from the hostess at Breakfast. The bellhop was also quite nice and helpful when we checked-out and needed to store lugga

Close to Fisherman's Wharf and restaurants. The $30 daily ”hotel fee” seemed a bit much for a ”free” bottle of water and internet access. They could have at least included free coffee in the lobby. We did take advantage of the nice bikes, so we got our money's worth. Room smelled fresh every day and didn't have that musty smell you sometimes have after a few days. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Usually don't stay at Hyatt, but would definitely return to this one.

This hotel is under new management so we couldn't see many reviews before booking but it was a great experience! the self check-in was a breeze (we received all the info in an email) and our room was nice and clean. The room is cozy but normal size for SF and if we needed a little more space we just went down to the lobby lounge area. There was wifi in the room and in the lobby area. The kitchen was super convenient to make a quick breakfast. We didn't use the washer/dryers but if we stayed longer we probably would have. We could walk to Union Square and there is also a Trader Joe's a couple blocks away. It was a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights!

It is not very good. I thought that San Francisco lived comfortably. I used to have a good impression of the Marriott brand. But this Marriott hotel is too old. When I booked it, I can live for 4 people. As a result, 2 people feel that the room is too small compared to Shanghai. The Marriott is too far away, and the price is high. In short, after booking a hotel, the old hotel is not good.

This Super 8, like most, is just a place to lay your head at night. The lobby was very small, the room was very small, not enough room for a chest of drawers. It was clean, the bathroom was updated and spacious. A small desk and chair. The breakfast had the basics except no waffles. San Fransisco is expensive, this room was not, so you get what you pay for. It worked well for us since we were gone from morning till night. The neighborhood is typical downtown. Busy with commuters and homeless, but we felt safe. Close to cable car, street car and bus lines. China town not far.

Stayed here for a week on business and really enjoyed my stay. The price was amazing for SF, and the location is close to the bustling heart of the city. What to expect for the price: Because of the building's age and location, noises both internally and externally are to be expected. I took my own earplugs, but better ones were provided by the hotel, and together with a nice bed and comfy pillows, I slept really well. Old buildings also come with maintenenance issues. The shower in my first room was faulty, but they moved me straight away and were so apologetic. The shower in my second room was perfect, nice hot water and good pressure. Both rooms I stayed in were impecably clean, the housekeeping team try to leave no stone unturned. Coffee, breakfast, and lunch available from the adjoining deli, offering some of the best food I had while in the city. But the best thing about The Touchstone, by far, was the staff. The front desk is always staffed with super friendly and helpfull people, nothing is too much trouble. Julie in particular is an absolute gem. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel can valet parking, but the price is very expensive. The hotel has been in business for more than 100 years. The elevator of the hotel is wooden doors with sliding doors, which is very interesting and full of European retro style. But it may be the deposition of years, not retro. Lobby has a free water bar with hot water, coffee, and juice. The room was clean and warm, and the location was good near Union Square. Although the hotel says it does not include breakfast, every morning there are long tables on each floor with simple juices, breads and fruits. The service attitude is also very good.

The hotel itself is nice. Inviting lobby. Isaac and Cesar at the front desk were great. Really, all of the staff I interacted with were really nice. Complimentary champagne in the lobby. Complimentary coffee station in the lobby, but no machine in the room, which is a stinker. Sometimes you just want coffee before stepping out of the room. The hotel is in what they call the Tendernob- a transitional area between Nob Hill and the Tenderloin. Things get weird quickly if you walk one block the wrong way (but walking the right way, you get to Union Square in a few minutes). I live in a city and have a high tolerance for that stuff, but someone from a more serene hometown may find it pretty jarring. Also, despite being a city dweller, I should say that I would not stay here with my family, but found it just fine for solo man travel. The Palace Hotel, another Bonvoy property, is where I stay when I visit with my family. The Adagio is cheaper, but not THAT much cheaper. All in all, this hotel is doing its absolute best with what it is in control of. Rooms are well sized and comfortable, the gym is good enough, the lobby has everything you'd want in a stylish package.

The location is very lively, surrounded by mature commercial blocks, the biggest problem is parking. The parking lot is 30-50 dollars a night, and there is still a certain distance from the hotel. You can also park on the side of the road, but it depends on whether you want to move the car the next day. Because there are sweepers working early in the morning, you must pay attention to the time instructions on the roadside. I have stayed at the Adelaide hostel for 5 nights in a shared 4 beds room. The facilities are not the newest and could use some renovation, but overall clean. Very basic accomodation as one would expect from a hostel. The type of living was quite like going back to staying at a dormitory, not in a good way. Some may argue that it's like that in any hostel, but my past experience staying in other hostels in different US cities , like in New York, was quite better, so I have something to compare it with. The offered ”breakfast” is basically a do-it-yourself bagels with different spreads, cereals, fruit and uncooked eggs. You can use the kitchen to cook yourself, but the kitchen can get quite crowded in the peak hours (mornings and evenings). Wifi was overall ok, although did get disconnected at times. The biggest con for me was the high noise level by some tenants being in the alley outside the building very late at night that I could hear from my room. Although not directly management's fault, I think they should pay more attention to that and give some warnings. Overall, a budget option in a very good central location close to everything that I would recommend to those who are travelling solo or maybe with a friend, who are ok with the basic stuff and will use it mainly for sleeping purposes

The location of the hotel is OK, just near Union Square, within a 500-meter walk of the hotel, there are many dining options, as well as restaurants and bars on the first floor of the hotel. Their services and conditions are pretty good. Regrettably, this time I stayed at the hotel, it happened that the hotel and building opposite were being renovated, and the noise was huge, which seriously affected the rest and overall feeling. We stayed in three types of rooms during the whole trip. The 5th floor viewing room was slightly quieter, and the 2nd floor suite was noisier. The fitness center of the hotel is outsourced Active, two blocks around the corner, about 5 minutes walk, it's ok.

Without a doubt the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The bathroom door was hanging off its hinge and could only close 90% and the shower had non-functioning blinds on the window so there was no private way to shower. The room should never have been rented to us or anyone. We booked a room for a week at The Fitzgerald for GDC 2023. First thing the room was ready an hour later than check-in time. Not a big deal, but not a great start. We are then informed that because it's a busy time we are being put in a room in the lobby, not the end of the world but it without a doubt was the worst location I've ever been in. You can hear 100% of the noise all day in the lobby meaning no comfort or privacy for you in your room. Now once we got into the room we found a few issues, some stuff had been missed for a long time while cleaning, there was a bag over the smoke alarm. The room is located on the first floor with a window looking out into the street. One of the panes was cracked leading to essentially all street noise leaking into the room 24/7. But without a doubt the biggest issue was that the bathroom door's hinges was mostly torn out of the wall meaning the bathroom door could only shut part way leaving a large gap. I can't imagine why they thought it was okay to rent a room with a non-functioning bathroom door, but it is completely unacceptable. In the bathroom you will find that the toilet is put right up against another door which also leads to the lobby, again making the use of the facilities extremely uncomfortable. There is also a window next to the shower, but the blinds are broken and can't be opened or closed and instead are just stuck halfway. When we informed the front desk, we were told that ”No one can be out there” discounting our discomfort and acting as though it wasn't an issue and seemingly thinking windows don't open, and can't generally be seen through. We asked the front desk about swapping rooms, but as it's GDC they are booked up. So instead we informed them that we will be checking out and moving to another hotel. They said ”We know the room isn't great” still standing by their view that the room is up to The Fitzgerald standards, which I have no choice but to believe it is. They then also told us that because we booked through a 3rd party instead of directly through them their hands were tied in terms of issuing any sort of refund. Looking at their website their ”Check Availability” button links directly to booking(dot)com and the ”Reservations” button links directly to hotels(dot)com so I'm assuming they are trying to funnel unsuspecting people to 3rd party sites so they can then hide behind them when someone inevitably has an issue. So on top of the issues with the room it seems like they have some scummy business practices as well. I can only recommend not to rent a room from this hotel. Sure some of their rooms might be passable, but there is a non-zero chance that they stick you in the worst room you've ever had

We have made annual trips to San Francisco and The Clift has become our favorite hotel in the city by the bay. It was recently completely renovated and now has a crisp, modern urban vibe yet the historic Redwood Room offers a classic sophisticated ambiance with skilled and sociable mixologist, live jazz or a DJ some nights. The Front Desk staff were so welcoming and accommodating, and the housekeeping service impeccable. Simply amazing all around! Can' wait to return.

I think the breakfast is quite a lot of food, that is, if you live in a multi-person room, on the side of the road, sleep in the evening, there is music in the car, and there is a loud noise from the downstairs. It will be very noisy. The store said that the room inside is the standard room, but I decided that it was too late, there is no standard room. The good thing about many people is that there will be a bathroom in each room, and there is a sink in the doorway, which is very clean. There is shampoo shower gel, there is a fan in the toilet, no air conditioning, the front desk service is good, the precautions are very clear, the attitude is good, the attitude of the cleaning staff is good, that is, the bed has a plastic bag and the mattress is turned over. If the cabinet is not locked, you have to bring your own lock. I don't have any valuables. I don't have any locks. The windows in the room are bad. I can't close it. I can't sleep at night and can't sleep. The location of the hotel is quite good. Next to the Hilton Hotel, there is also a Shidu store downstairs. It is less than ten minutes walk from the subway station. There will be a bus ride nearby. Just around the subway station near the hotel, there are many tramps in San Francisco. See if you don't care about them, people and animals are harmless, and they like the streets of San Francisco.

The location of this hotel is very good, the price is also very high, but the surrounding environment is more complicated, there are more embarrassment, if you do not stare at them, it does not constitute a contradiction. The staff is still very polite and seems to be operated by Indians. The room is clean and tidy.

I stayed here during a conference where the price was raised to $240/night. If the price had been quite a bit lower as it might normally be, I probably wouldn't complain much. The location is hard to beat in terms of proximity to Union Square and the Moscone Center, and the front desk staff was friendly. Other reviews have noted that the rooms are dated--and I found that to be true as well. But, my room was clean. The wifi worked, and the rooms were insulated from noise from adjoining rooms. However, there was hardly any noise isolation from the outside. I was on the 6th floor facing Geary Street, and I could hear just about everything going on well into the evening. The heat in my room was also not working until my last night there--and that combined with very thin covers left me pretty cold (though the bed itself was comfortable). When the heat did work, it made a strange noise reminiscent of a dying cat, so I ended up turning it off anyway. One tip for taller or larger travelers: I am 5' 2'', and the shower head was only 2 inches above my head. So if you're much taller than me, you'll be bending down to rinse your hair. You'll also find the bathroom overall to be quite small.

Hotel location is good, easy to go anywhere, in the city center. Hotel service is general, law-abiding, we gave a good tip on the first day, but after returning to the room, I found the suitcase passive, don't ask me how to know, because I am used to Make a mark before going out, of course, there is nothing less, because I carry valuables and cash with me, but still remind everyone! The room is small, with children not able to book a standard room, there is a fee to stop the production!

Throughly enjoyed this trip! The rooms were clean, staff attentive and kind, and the location was perfection! The club lounge was the best part, with the jacuzzi and eucalyptus face towels, and the view was amazing! I visited for my birthday and they gave me a bottle of champagne to celebrate! The only negative was never getting batteries for the TV remote, even after going down to the desk twice and being told maintenance was coming but never did. Otherwise, the stay was fantastic and I cant wait to come back! Highly recommend, and will be visiting again before the end of the year! Thank you!

We stayed in a private room. It was very clean with a super clean bathroom. Enough space for us with hanging space (more hangers would be good) and places to put bags. Large number of electrical sockets. Good shower with complimentary toiletries. Check in and out was quick and easy. Location was good for us. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to. There have been lots of negative reviews about this hostel. We didn't have the same experience. I think the hostel should respond more personally to the negative reviews rather than the standard copy and paste comment they leave. This would give a better impression. We would stay again
