It was a Great Hotel, the location is great, very well connected to subway, lots of restaurant and fast-food around. The rooms and the facility is great, especially the 7th floor pool deck the staff there are very friendly, room is very comfortable and spacious, clean, have all amenities I needed, including the slippers which I used for the pool side.
Some of the receptionist are very friendly, courteous especially the girl who extended my checkout time and the gentlemen Manny they made me feel home, also the concierge gentleman, I am from Asia and you definitely need people like them to make you comfortable. on the other had there were some receptionist who don't even want to smile, a smile cost nothing, it is because of these couple of them that the hotel might not get the guest back.
Over all I will for sure come back again and there is no need for me to stay in other places, i use to stay in sheraton grand, but now I recommend this hotel and also myself will stay here again for sure.

Amazing stay. We’ve stayed a handful of times at the Waldorf Beverly Hills which we also love, but I think this will be our new go-to Hilton property in Los Angeles as it’s at a much more attractive price point. The service was what really stood out. Extremely friendly front desk, bellmen, drivers, and wait staff. We were celebrating our anniversary and they upgraded us to a beautiful suite and provided treats and champagne. Pool was beautiful and huge considering the area. Food was delicious, albeit extremely expensive which is our only criticism of the property. We are excited to come back.From$339

What a perfect boutique hotel! Secluded for privacy but close to everything you would want in Beverly Hills. Beds are wonderfully comfortable and rooms are very clean. All marble baths are luxurious and the rain shower? Perfection! I enjoyed coffee on my balcony each morning watching the city wake-up. Lobby is spacious and welcoming. Restaurant food is superb. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. I will most definitely stay here again when my travels bring me to Beverly Hills. From$259

I was so excited to stay here. I arrived about 5pm and our room was not available to strike one so they gave us tokens for free drinks at the poolside, while we were there we waited to see if anyone will come up to us and offer drinks and nothing so I decided to go up to the bar. We ordered our drinks and when paying with the tokens the bartender made it clear to me that her tip was not included with the tokens strike 2.. made me feel like I couldn't afford it, so we decided to go have dinner, we finished dinner after 6pm and still not call my room was available so I decided to go ask..when I get there all of a sudden our room is available. We go up to our room and its the wrong one strike 3 when going back to the lobby I found a gentleman walking our luggage up so I let him know our room was not the one I reserved he apologized and walked me down to the lobby.. when we were in the lobby they apologized and gave me a discount for the mixed up.. the agreed that was not the room I reserved and was going to send wine and cheese up to our room.. never received the wine strike 4. The next morning we decided to check out I told the gal there about my horrible experience so they waved the valet also when I got my bill they added other charges of $90 and gave me a discount of $60 . Yea the other charges were added to offset the discount. I felt so uncomfortable never going back again, I'm still sad about my family trip that was ruined and made us feel unwelcome. Although the hotel is a bit old and the elevators are quite old, the service here is pretty good. For parent-child groups, their attitude is quite friendly, and the bellman and valet staff are very kind. We are also willing to give tips. Bellman is very kind to my children. We push the baby stroller. Bellman first helps me push the baby stroller and then unload all the luggage. This is a human touch not found in other restaurants. I highly recommend family groups. Pros: 1. Location, location, location. It’s in the center of everything. 2. Great bar and socializing area downstairs with a complimentary glass of wine at happy hour. 3. The views from the higher floors are incredible. 4. Comfy beds and room amenities are lovely. 5. The hotel gym has a TON of great equipment. Rogue everything. Best I’ve ever seen, really. 6. Free coffee until 10:30 ish. Nice since the Starbucks down the street has closed. 7. Food portions are generous, and the food is fantastic. 8. The staff especially the front desk staff are very very professional and kind. Cons: 1. The restaurant downstairs is not open until 11 as advertised. They stop cooking early - closer to 10:30. Imagine my and about 5 other parties surprise when coming down to find everything packed away and the grill shut down. Just change the hours to 10:30 so folks aren’t hangry and disappointed. It’s off putting and incongruent with the otherwise welcoming and accommodating services of this hotel. 2. My room’s trash bin had the previous guest’s trash in it. I’ve never had this happen before. Didn’t ruin my stay but eww. 3. The wine list is small and the pours are stingy. Maybe 4 oz. Just something that would make an athlete’s day: Offer a full protein (paleo) meal option or protein shake/smoothie option in the downstairs cooler. This is such a great health-conscious hotel so it would be awesome to have nutrition options to match.From$235

The service wasn’t really up to the standards of such a wonderful, high end hotel. We even upgraded our room day of. They ruined our custom cake in transport from the valet to our room, despite the fact we gave them very detailed instructions. They reassured us that they’d be right up. I had to call twice to get them to bring us our luggage (and the cake) and by then a hour had gone by, and the custom decorations had melted off the cake ruining it.
There was a lot of confusion on how they would make it up to us as I had to talk to three different people on the day and the day after who all told me different things. In the end, since they didn’t send us a dessert to make up for the cake they ruined and the champagne they promised was instead $150 off at the bar — thank god I called to ask where the wine was otherwise I wouldn’t have known I had the credit and would not have used it.
Eventually they comped us the valet, upgrade and what they say was an extra drink we got at the bar that went over the $150 (impossible, we all made sure the math lined up) but the communication was a struggle and I did not felt appreciated as a customer.From$299

When I first arrived I was telling the guy at the desk that I had two reservations I cancelled one, but there should be another that I have already prepaid. Well he pretty much was saying he don’t see a paid room as I have the confirmation receipt on my phone in my hand. the lady (his co worker) reviewed my receipt for the room purchase and searched by my middle name. They found my reservation… okay, they were out of one beds. So we walk to our room and it’s literally a jail no city view, just a view of other hotel windows and a vent on the second floor. I mean that’s ridiculous for the price so make sure y’all checking the view before paying all that money! Remind you the guy already pushed back on me regarding my prepayment so was he being rude? I think so honestly. So I Go back to the desk to get another room with a better view because at this point I was disgusted, new room still have 2 beds but it was on 8th floor with a good view so I was okay with it, better than the first room. Going off of reviews and pictures I thought this hotel would be nice but it’s really old looking I made the best out of it but I would never book here again sorry not sorry. From$145

Location - located on Figueroa Street across the street from the USC campus. Proximity to USC is the biggest winner for this Radisson. Accommodations - The lobby was basic, one story with a small front desk and small pool antey. The gym was basic with 2 treadmills and 2 ellipticals and weights up to 35 OK lbs.. The rooms are decent size and well maintained with nice decor. The bathrooms can stand to be updated though. Service - The front desk folks are OK but the hotel policies really bring it down overall. We stayed at the hotel during move in week and weekend (5 days 4 nights) but were not given a water bottle like everyone else, that was weird. We received some Amazon boxes while there and were charged $5/box after the 3rd box but were not told in advance from the hotel that they would charge us, so they basically held the packages I ordered for my daughter's move in hostage. |3.2km from city centerWe needed to break up a long trip with one night at a hotel. Chose this hotel for its location. Was able to use points for the one night, so we are not out any money. The hotel is newer, but the rooms are spartan to say the least. Not relaxing or cozy or comfortable. Mattress was okay, pillows were flat as pancakes. My ”feather free” request was not honored, but they fixed that after we were in the room. The layout of the room is strange, the chair and sofa uncomfortable, and the television is oddly placed as far away from the soft as it could be. The bathroom had a strange motion sensor lighting system, which you cannot override even if you want to. The lights switched on at midnight for no reason, waking us up! The tile floor of the bathroom has very wide grout lines which looked very dirty even in this newer hotel. The check in clerk was friendly. The check out clerk was not. I could not get any sort of receipt, even via email. I am not sure he actually checked us out when we left at 7 am.

|2.16km from city centerWe have been to this hotel many times before- but this is the first since the pandemic. We were very impressed with their cleaning procedures and preparations. Even before our arrival, the front desk sent us emails to acknowledge our reservations. Brandon (been there 7 years) checked us in with great professionalism and friendliness. He took care of everything and made sure we wrote down what we wanted for the 2 days we were staying for breakfast. They have a list of available items for breakfast and you mark what you want. At the marked time, they would have the items bagged up and you can bring up to your room to eat. They will also make you coffee with cloves on!! Rooms are spacious as always. Rooms are clean, but you will not get room serviced- you can request new towels and other items as needed. All employees had masks on all the time, and customers are required to wear masks in public areas. I can highly recommend this hotel and their staff!!

It feels very depressed. It’s a bit strange to enter the room, not used to it. The decoration of the apartment, kitchen utensils and tableware are complete, but there is no toothpaste toothbrush slippers, let alone combs. The bathroom sprinklers cannot be taken down and are not convenient to use. Meals, including breakfast, at 6:30 in the morning, many guests go to breakfast at 6:30, everyone can't sleep. We went there for two days, just Monday through Wednesday, the hotel offered dinner for free, but it was a simple fast food category, hamburger, pizza, soda, etc. It was enough to fill the stomach. During the Spring Festival, the hotel is expensive. There are 1200 rooms in this room, and 1800 in Marriott and Hilton. I usually see 1000 in normal times. If I choose again, I will not choose this hotel again.

|10.84km from city centerI'm a fairly seasoned tent camper who has also stayed at some of the finest hotel resorts in the world and some of the most sketchy dives in the suburbs of Beirut. I think the best starting point of comparison is probably tent camping for the following reasons. Let's start with the good part. The bed appeared to be free of vermin and unexplained stains. It was moderately comfortable. This is significantly better than tent camping, where you generally have to sleep on the ground and shift your body around various rocks and other objects beneath the tent. The remaining features, however, compare quite similarly to campground life. Starting with the surroundings, there is a wide variety of clientele on the hillside, not all of whom you would like to meet in a dark vault toilet at midnight. There are mosquitoes, including ones that live in the room apparently. Like a good campsite, the view is quite good, assuming that you are actually put into a city view facing room. The bathroom may be a good starting point. It definitely does not smell as bad as a vault toilet. That is probably because it had a thick layer of highly scented soap coating the tiles. When we entered the room, our eyes watered from the extraordinary aroma of all of the cleaning product that was used in the bathroom. The cleaning staff had not removed the soap from the floor, so it had a skating rink like effect even when we were wearing shoes. Getting in and out of the shower required substantial skill and balance. This would not have been a problem in or an ordinary hotel situation, but the stingy management only gives you two bath towels and one hand towel. If there were more towels, we could put them on the floor for safety. Another thing that comes in somewhat below tent camping level is the complete lack of access to management. There is no front desk, there is no check-in process, and as far as I can tell there is no housekeeping either other than between guests. At most campgrounds, there is at least a camp host who you can reach out to if you have difficulties. I've included some photos of the wildlife dwelling near the antique toilet, the pool that they advertise themselves as having available to guests, which is actually closed and appears to have been for some time, and the general grubbiness of the room.

It is not recommended to choose this for flights arriving at night, it is not too easy to find. There is a charge for parking in the hotel. The first thing I noticed was the essential elements of Victorian architecture inside the building. The looks created goosebumps. I started picturing the movie ”1408,” but the building is up to the 4th floor only. Don't panic! Nothing happened here. Don't watch too many scary movies and you'll be all right! The pool was closed temporarily so we couldn't enjoy it. I used the gym and business center. Unfortunately, I couldn't print anything at the business center, so I had to save the files and send them to the employee at the front desk so that they could print them for me. The computers worked fine, though. We got a complimentary daily breakfast. It was ok, with minimal choices. I tried it once and didn't return the next day because we found an excellent place to get our breakfast. The employees are friendly and helpful. The parking situation is a plus, easy access to the lobby and from the entrance, you need a key in the elevator to go up to the 3rd or 4th floor or your room. I used the gym. The hotel needs some newer equipment for sure. The treadmill wasn't working, so I used the elliptical and weight machines. Although it's located in a busy area, I prefer the location near the water we stayed in last time. That was Crowne Plaza hotel. Anyway, the room condition was ok. The bed wasn't very comfortable, though. Our room faced the pool that wasn't working at the time. It was not a busy season. We joked around that we were the only guest on the first day. After the first day, I saw...people, not dead people, phew! We're safe! We're not sure whether we will stay here again, but the location is not for me.

For example, a car was on fire in the middle of the road just a block from the hotel. Police sirens were going all day and all night. The room had a terrible view (see picture). The carpet looked worn and dirty. The bed was ok. The bathroom was fine. It had a leaky faucet that was fixed immediately. The breakfast was not good. Eggs and sausage were available, but looked and tasted awful. Waffle was all right. The staff was kind and helpful. I did like the free parking, although double-parking was necessary and we had to leave our car key at the front desk. There's just much better hotels in far better locations.

They didn't like myself or my crew and in return, I really didn't like them, their management or owners. I have been a ”Diamond Select” member for the past 3 years. This is supposed to mean something-but not at this property. I don't want to continue bashing this property, but just know it's not for people in construction. I saw it was used for the casual traveler, some people seemed to be long term tenants, and men/women having ”discreet encounters”. The rooms are okay. There are no microwaves in the room. They have a ”common” (no COVID issues there eh?) microwave in the laundry room-which closes at 10PM. The mattress was a little too firm for me personally. They have a great selection of cable channels. Plenty of other amenities-towels, hand towels, Coffee Maker, etc. I can't comment on room service as there isn't any due to COVID. The rooms are clean upon initial entry. They did accommodate us with items we had delivered for my project so I was grateful for that.

The lighting could be improved too; consider using lamps instead of canned lighting -If you’re a light/sensitive sleeper, bring earplugs. You can hear the traffic from Vineland Ave. The hotel is under the flight path of BUR airport. I can’t comment about neighbor noise, but it was quiet during my stay (save the traffic and airplane noise) If you’re ok with the bare necessities, Colony is a solid stay. Were it not for its location, I would have rated lower.

It also appears that most folks who were staying in this area were either relocating or passing through because none look to be from the area ( to be honest, they look like folks who lost their homes or were into drugs because their vehicles were mostly packed) but anyway, even though I requested to be on the first floor I was assigned to the second floor, between two rooms that were just noisy, and I told the front desk this, but no way to relocate me as the hotel has no vacancy so after two night I can take it no longer and had to check out early, and this was pre-paid stay the Chinese lady was none to happy that I was checking out and had the audacity to tell me that next time I need to be sure of my dates ( I heard her! and when I asked her to repeat what she said) she said nothing but of crse I already understood her grumbling, so lesson is that not to come back here ever again.

|2.75km from city centerIf you need an affordable motel room within $12 Uber of Venice Beach this is for you. It suited me perfectly for the weekend and here are my thoughts now I’m back in Australia: PROS: Price is good Close to beach Super clean and comfy Maccas right next door and Thai across road Deli and bottle shop around corner Free car parking Friendly staff Double glazed windows stop traffic noise Microwave CONS: Doors are not solid and traffic noise is bad (a shame as the windows are great!) No kettle or coffee machine in room Random people sheltering in stairwell Being cheap you get all sorts of people night and day. Would I bring my family here? Probably not. But for a party night nearby or a bed close to the airport you can’t go wrong. I actually really like the place and would go back any time. Yes an apartment on the beach would be better but they’re 5 times the price and that’s not for me so this place is perfect. I usually take photos but TBH nothing stood out so I didn’t, but it was perfectly fine 👍
