A few nights we stayed at Mercure Bonn (Germany) , being a gold member at Accor we were hoping to get a room upgrade. Because at check-in they didn't ask or mention anything I asked myself for the upgrade. Unfortunately there was no availability (I can understand that). No welcome drink was offered. The room was ok but no free water was offered, apparently because of COVID...strange, no? Bottled water seems pretty safe to me... The following day, we didn't find any free newspaper although it clearly states that gold members get a free newspaper. The bed wasn't made up neither by the evening of the second day, we did get fresh towels however. The restaurant wasn't open, so there we stood in the evening of the first night having to find dinner. Nothing mentioned about the restaurant being closed when booking the hotel through Accor Website, neither any mentions on the room not being serviced...these are basic things one should clearly mention... I didn't feel very welcome as a customer and certainly not as a gold member. Am I expecting too much? The service level of the staff is remarkable different one compared to the other.

Great hotel. This time we stayed in the Junior Suite. The difference with the standard room is the wider bed (180 versus 160) and more square meters. It also includes a nespresso machine and complimentary coffee cups. All rooms have a mini bar and complementary drinks. (Daily refill). Our suite had a view on the forest. Great comfortable bed and quiet room. The hotel is located in a quiet environment. Keep in mind that the shower and the sink are in the same area as your bed. You have no privacy of a separate room. For us no problem, if privacy is however needed, someone will need to leave the room. Toilet is off course in a separate room. All rooms (full hotel) has free high speed internet. The hotel offers free parking (really enough space) and they even have 2 parking spots with chargers (type 2, AC chargers from Tesla). You need to request the charging in the hotel and the cost is booked on the room. Breakfast: one word, great. Fresh food, good quality. Fresh juice, coffee maker (normal, espresso, cappuccino, latte Macchiato, Ice coffee, …). Also healthy options are available and local (sometimes even self made) products. All persons working at the hotel are polity and really helpful. They will always try to help. The hotel is also pride on their ecological footprint. We will return. Yes there are cheaper hotels available but they do not offer the same complete package and quality for us. If a quiet, comfortable sleep, clean rooms and great breakfast are important, don’t hesitate.

I had the last loft room in the corridor, separated from all others. It was a bit too cold, but the hot showers helped. They had apparently not entered the winter time yet. This hotel has a typical flare from the 70ies. It is located on a narrow street where there is not much time or space for taxis to stop. They had a restaurant and a bar. Free wifi that worked well. The breakfast was small but nice. The elevator was soooo slow... Staff was also nice.

We recently had occasion to stay at this hotel. The rooms booked were 135 and 134. We booked through booking.com and paid €610 plus parking @ €12 a night. If staying as a tourist you are also liable for a Berherbergungssteuer of approx €5 per room per night. The hotel is set in a wooded area close to the university hospitals. Access is restricted at the moment (August 2019) as the road leading to the hotel is undergoing renovations. This is ok for getting there but makes a return trip to the centre of Bonn or Bad Godesberg a bit of a chore. You need a car if staying at this hotel. The area it is in is residential and devoid of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions, with the exception of the wonderful woodland. Bonn city centre is approx 10km by road or a 20 min trip away. The hotel is clean and oozes quality in a Germanic way. The decor is dated - late 90’s or early 2000. There is one restaurant and a bar which opens only in autumn and winter. Drinks can be taken in the restaurant or on the lovely terrace. The latter offers wonderful views to the Siebengebirge. When we were there they had an issue with wasps, if you do suffer from allergy to their stings, best avoid the Dorint. The restaurant is open until 10:30 pm for food and drinks. The food is standard fare, nothing special. Don’t heed some of the reviews you read, the food is well done, but it does not stand out. Our Caesars salad was done with a 1000 island dressing, a bit odd. Salads generally have too much dressing on them. Prices are steepish for what is offered. The choice on the menu is ok. Service is excellent. Breakfast is also served in the restaurant; it is a buffet, the charge is €20 per room - we were 2 adults/2kids, not sure if children go free and charge is €20 per adult. The buffet selection is adequate. I have come across a lot better. Quantities and selection are on the miserly side. Saying that, the food is of good quality. You need to order cooked breakfast such as fried egg through the waiter. The coffee is miserable, served from thermos flasks. These flasks as they get older tend to develop an aroma of their own which spoils/taints the coffee. There is a good selection of teas. Again there are many wasps around, we had to flee the outside terrace and move to a table inside. There were wasps in the jam jars at the buffet. At this point I want to give a special mention to Monsieur Gabriel Adensa, a truly wonderful waiter and gentleman. The rooms at the Dorint are of purposeful size. Ours faced reception, not a great view but they were very quiet all the same. The a/c unit worked very well and the room was temperate and pleasant. The furniture and fittings were of good quality and in good condition. The style was not to our taste. The rooms could do with USB ports. There are ample sockets. The bathroom was clean. The minibar is stocked with complimentary Coke, beer and water. Housekeeping make beds daily but do not change bedding. They did not replace our tissues on

The hotel ” Acora Bonn - Living the City ” is an extra-class hotel, once something quite different from traditional hotels that you are usually used to. On the house facade is the text read. Acora - Hotel and accommodation. ” This hotel we haven't yet met ... This three-storey hotel is compared to a residence where the entire living environment consists of a family house. Here in the Acora Hotel you can make a short holiday or even stay for a longer time. Montage workers seem to live here for a longer time...We have found here only young people ... For us, the holidaymakers, stay with breakfast is offered, what has been enough for us too. A deep garage is available and costs € 4 per day. The city area where the hotel is found is called Bonn - Tannenbusch, and is about 4 kilometres from the centre of Bonn. The motorway access is not far from the hotel...There is also the metro stop Bonn-Tannenbusch. Therefore the hotel is actually centrally located. We, were satisfied with the service as it was offered here. The only lack is that there is no seat in this building complex. We were satisfied guests. Rooms, breakfast, service and the price were good. Only the missing seat was a problem for us. Three floors with baggage that was too tough for me. From there we will probably not come back ... Who doesn't care about the missing chair, will find a priced alternative to the costly accommodation prices in Bonn for a hotel in Arcora Hotel. What I felt very good was in the staircase, on both sides of the stairs and climbs, the double handle that was present at the staircase as on the wall. Young people may not appreciate that we a little older, this device was found very useful and helpful ...

· Fantastically located close to both Bonn Main Station and the downtown of Bonn, this hotel was my natural choice for a short 3-night trip to Bonn and the surrounding area. The personnel spoke decent English and was able to advise on some places to visit. I was also provided with a city card (all transport covered in the city of Bonn). The room was nice and tidy, with a courtesy bottle of water waiting for me on the table. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom - crystal clean. I also enjoyed a decent quality WiFi (surprisingly often an issue even in 'business' hotels). All in all, good choice for those travelers who are on business or who would like to enjoy a very central location. Disliked · Two things that I was not happy about: 1. There was a semi-finished bottle of water in the fridge. It is of course understandable that it has been left by the previous guest, but I would expect the cleaning staff to clear the fridge from the leftovers from the preceding stay. 2. I lodged a request to replenish the shower gel, and it was not done. I advise that requests of this kind are taken to action by the staff.

I was with my cousin for 2 nights at Hotel Europa, which I had previously chosen and booked due to the central location on the Internet. We arrived with our own car, we found it immediately and after a brief statement by the Lord at the reception we also found the deep garage and left our car there. The reception was very friendly and our rooms were also finished half an hour before official check-in. The rooms, two single rooms in 5. Stock, are not yet renovated, but cozy and functionally furnished and above all: decently clean!! Since the hotel is in the centre, you need to buy some noise levels, especially through trams that go directly on the hotel. I have been sleeping with Ohropax but wonderfully (the guest map shows that Ohropax is available on the desk on request also free at the reception). There is also a guest card with a city plan and advertising of some of the locals and attractions, where you get a discount on food and drinks, entry money, etc. against offering. The Lord at the reception also answered us very friendlyly all our questions and gave one or other tip of trip. Breakfast buffet is excellent for a 3* operation. Almost all products are from fair trade or from regional bio-based farms (excellent røring!!) and the selection is great. The staff in the breakfast service is very attentive, especially when it comes to coffee haircut, and the breakfast room is very simple and elegantly furnished and comfortablely clean. In the morning, the owner, Mrs Baden, is always at the reception, who could tell us immediately with which metro lines you reach all the attractions, especially the museum miles, where you have to go out and how you alternatively also walk everything the last day we wanted to bum a little more after check-out and asked if we should leave our car in the garage as long as we still stay. This was not a problem, and the owner, Mr Baden, has even come with us to the garage before our departure to get us out (as is now the case in the city centre, the access is very narrow and the road, In short, we felt very well at Hotel Europa and would book it again at any time. On the servets at breakfast is the slogan ”Your home in the heart of Bonn” and this is absolutely true. Mr and Mrs Baden are passionate gastronoms and you note in all areas, that friendship and heartfulness are honest and not set up. Thank you for everything again!!

I had booked a week for work, and this looked like a pleasant location, and I arrived late and no one was told to receive me, so no surprise, and the night box with the key worked well. But then, my room number, I had no information about it, fortunately I had a phone number, a friendly lady on the other side of the line lighted me in my number on the key hanger, and I had not yet looked at it. I didn't expect this information to be on the key, so to the room, this was small, and the shower area was small, a pleasant, well sleeping double bed that was. There was a coffee machine and there was a bottle of water. The salts there were on payment, and a TV with a number of broadcasts, unfortunately almost all German broadcasts, and there was a double box, with one sliding door, so not closed. There was no breakfast in the first morning because it had to be informed in advance. Also that was no problem, there were options near. Furthermore, no more effort made to breakfast here, The garage of the hotel is not a luxury. I used it 1 night, because it is not easy to get in or out without damage (1m60 narrow entrance and also in the garage minimally in space). The floors cracked, but the night was calm. 1 Older lady of staff was very helpful and friendly. I'm sorry, but I was expecting something more, I got a box of chocolates before Christmas.

I really like this property; as mentioned by many reviewers its clean, stylish convenient and reasonably priced. Yes the rooms are typically 'Euro-small' but are well presented and the breakfast, complete with its superior coffee machine, is excellent. The staff are always efficient and helpful and with just a walk across the road to the Bahnhof why stay in more expensive places in Bonn city? And there are numerous restaurants very close by including an excellent Spanish tapas bar, traditional German and Arabic mezze style restaurants. I recommend the property for shortish stays.
